Audio Switching and Sound Loss Issue with Jabra Evolve2 55 on Windows 11 Pro

I am currently using a Jabra Evolve2 55 headset on a Windows 11 Pro workstation for daily office communication and multitasking across multiple applications, including Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, Quo, and media playback.

I am experiencing an ongoing audio issue with the headset during normal usage. The device connects successfully and appears properly connected in Jabra Direct; however, audio playback intermittently stops working under the following conditions:

  • Music or media plays normally initially
  • After pausing audio for approximately 2–3 minutes, playback resumes without any sound output
  • During calls (Teams, Google Chat, Quo), the headset functions correctly
  • After ending a call, media playback no longer produces sound
  • In some cases, music works but call audio does not, or vice versa

The headset remains connected and detected by both Windows and Jabra Direct during the issue.

Could you please assist with:

  • Recommended configuration settings for Windows 11 Pro
  • Known fixes related to audio profile switching between media and communication modes
  • Any stability improvements for Teams/softphone integration

Your assistance would be highly appreciated.

Device Name: Jabra Evolve2 55 Headset

We are currently using multiple Jabra Evolve2 55 headsets (approximately 15–20 devices) on Windows 11 Pro PCs. The headsets are connected using both USB Type-C and USB-A adapters. Our users primarily use communication platforms such as OpenPhone, Microsoft Teams, and Google Chat calling.

We are experiencing a recurring issue where the Jabra Direct application shows the headset as connected, but the audio functionality stops working intermittently. Incoming call notifications, message alerts, and other application sounds are not heard through the headset. In some cases, the headset works during active calls, but other applications such as YouTube or system audio produce no sound at the same time.

Another common issue is that if the headset remains idle for some time, audio playback stops completely until the device is manually reconnected. Temporarily unplugging and reconnecting the USB Type-C cable or USB adapter restores functionality, but the issue returns again after some time.

This problem is not isolated to a single device. We are facing the same issue across multiple Jabra Evolve2 55 headsets in our environment.

We are looking for a permanent solution or recommended configuration changes to resolve this connectivity and audio issue on Windows 11 Pro systems.

Hi everyone,

I’m currently using a Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex headphone, and unfortunately, the hinge/arm near the earcup has broken accidentally (please see attached image). The internal wire is still connected, and the audio is working fine, but the physical structure is damaged and unstable.

I wanted to ask:

  • Is there any recommended way to fix this kind of hinge damage?
  • Has anyone faced a similar issue and successfully repaired it?
  • Are replacement parts available for this model, or should I consider a full replacement?

Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
