Failed NCLEX at 89 questions — retesting in September. Looking for advice!

Hi everyone! I recently took my NCLEX-RN for the first time on August 15th and failed in 89 questions.

I know I wasn’t as consistent with studying as I should have been the first time, so I’m trying to approach my retake VERY differently. I’m currently waiting on my CPR and hoping to retest around September 30. Honestly, I’m choosing to look at failing my first attempt as a test of my faith rather than a failure of my future. I’m going into this retake with more prayer, more preparation, and a lot more trust in God.

I’m giving myself about 4 weeks to prepare this time and made a study calendar to keep myself accountable, which I’ve attached! My main resource will be NCLEX Bootcamp (which I used the last time and liked), with Mark K, NCLEX Crusade, and Dr. Sharon as supplements. I’ll also be working several days throughout September, so I’m trying to keep the schedule realistic.

For anyone who failed their first attempt and passed their second, I’d love to hear what worked for you!
What did you change the second time?
Did you use your CPR to change your study strategy?
Did you stick with the same QBank or switch?
How many questions were you doing per day?
Anything you wish you had done differently?

I’m disappointed, but I’m trying to use this as a reset and come back stronger. Any advice is appreciated!
