I had severe pain that left me unable to even run for a minute. But if it’s been a couple days since attempting to run, I have no pain at all while walking. So why do I need to be not weight bearing on crutches for a few weeks when walking doesn’t hurt?
I have been a competitive runner in the past but never high mileage, maybe around 40 mpw. I did still manage to get shin stress fractures. Recently, I have been extremely low. Running a few miles 2-3 times a week. So MAYBE getting 10 miles a week. And I have a femur stress fracture! How in the world is this even possible? I’m strong and lift weights. I am running at a heavier weight than I have in the past. Could that be it?
