Skilled visa timeline
Hi everyone,
I applied to switch from my Graduate visa to a Skilled Worker visa on 26 June. It's a 5-year visa, and I work for the NHS.
During the application, I chose to verify my identity using the UK Immigration: ID Check app instead of booking a biometric appointment. I scanned my (expired) BRP, took the required photo, and submitted everything through the app.
The application says a decision may take up to 8 weeks (with 21 August being the latest expected date), but I'm wondering how long it actually took for others.
If you've been through the same process, how long did you wait for your decision? Also, if I completed everything through the app, is it likely that I'll still be asked to attend a biometric appointment, or is that usually not required?
I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thanks!
