Good News, Cape Codders!

https://www.komu.com/news/midmissourinews/new-study-suggests-association-between-parkinsons-disease-and-living-near-a-golf-course/article_61d6279e-e53c-474d-9627-908d87bf26ee.html

Not only are golf courses using up obscene amounts of water, all the pesticides they use are significantly increasing our likelihood of developing Parkinsons!

In Brewster, there are multiple golf courses, all within a few miles of each other. Exciting...

Don't Forget to Vote, Brewster!

Voted today for Laurel Labdon for the Select Board! I hope she gets on; really not interested in Semple, a man who made big money working for a corporation then decided to come and retire on Cape Cod. Last thing this town needs is another rich, old person making decisions for the working class.

Brewster Election Next Week!

Excited to vote for Laurel Labdon again, since she is deeply dedicated to her hometown and has shown an actual willingness to listen to and collaborate with the people she will serve!

Just got a text that someone I know is STILL (at 12:15am) at town meeting in Brewster. Absolutely shameful. Last vote is on implementing an STR registration system.

This is 100% why these things should go to a ballot vote. I couldn't go due to prior commitments, but would have liked to have a say. But, even if I'd gone, would I stay past f***ing midnight?! Unacceptable.

https://www.capecodchronicle.com/articles/4426/view/str-owners-raise-discrimination-concerns-at-public-hearing

After wasting time and money on consultants and taskforces, the town of Brewster finally seems to be ready to start at least registering and inspecting STRs.

Hilarious all the STR owners whining about a $300/year fee, as though they can't come up with that. Meanwhile, year-round residents can see their monthly rent increase by $300/mo and are expected to just suck it up.

Hope this goes into effect!
