Hi guys
My crown Vic was driving just fine until mid day when it suddenly started shuddering after 40mph. It lessens around 80+ mph but resumes once u decelerate. I can hear a clunking noise in the rear when u decelerate too. What do you guys think this could be? All tires seem okay, no balancing issues. The CEL came on after awhile too, I feel reduced performance from the transmission.

I’ve acquired a 2001 crown Victoria, everything works great, but the ignition column has been hotwired or something and I was wondering if this is fixable ? I can start it by sliding up on the ignition switch, the cylinder itself seems to be broken. Runs and drives without physical key being present, just wondering if I could easily revert to stock, or I should take this to a locksmith. Sorry for bad quality, will post another photo tmr if needed.
