New in Quo: Capture leads with Sona over SMS (Beta)

Hey everyone, Andrew from Quo's Product team here 👋

We just launched Sona for lead capture over SMS into beta, and I'm excited to finally share it with you all.

One thing we've heard from a lot of customers is that auto-replies are helpful, but they only go so far. They let people know you've received their message, but the conversation still has to wait until someone on your team is available.

Now, Sona can start that conversation with leads right away.

When a potential customer starts a new conversation by text, or their call is missed, Sona can reply over SMS to:

  • Answer common questions
  • Collect important details
  • Leave a summary of the conversation for your team

That means, by the time your team checks their phone, they already have a qualified lead ready for follow-up.

I also put together a quick walkthrough below to show you how it works.

If you'd like to dive deeper, you can find more details, including setup instructions and different ways to use it, here: https://www.quo.com/sona#leads-over-sms

As always, we'd love to hear what you think. This is just the start, so if there's anything you'd like to see Sona handle as part of lead capture in the future, let us know in the comments.

New in Quo: Automatically skip team members who are already on a call

Hey everyone, Jordanne from the Product team here 👋

We've added a new option for ring groups that a few of you might find useful.

If someone on your team is already on a call, they normally stay in the ring group. That means another incoming call can interrupt them with a call waiting notification or keep ringing someone who isn't actually available.

We've added a new setting: Only ring if not already on another call.

https://preview.redd.it/gzc2ozwp4mdh1.png?width=1200&format=png&auto=webp&s=411695ab119deb613cca4bac8a03428ba07767e7

When it's enabled, Quo skips anyone who's already on a call and rings the next available teammate instead.

A few things worth knowing:

  • It works with ring all at once, random, and custom ring groups.
  • If everyone in the ring group is already on a call, the call moves to the next step in your flow.
  • If someone gets skipped, you'll still see a missed call in the shared inbox explaining why they weren't rung.
  • It's off by default, so you can choose where you want to use it.

Hope it's a helpful one! Let me know if you've got any questions or feedback.

New in Quo: Faster mobile search

Hey everyone, Quo’s Product team here 👋

We wanted to let you know that we've rebuilt search on mobile (both iOS and Android) to make it much easier to find conversations, contacts, and messages.

Instead of waiting for results or digging through old threads, you can now start typing and see results almost instantly.

https://preview.redd.it/ye3qnjwvw7dh1.png?width=1710&format=png&auto=webp&s=1288723c423fda737342899549a2bc3fbd05c5c4

Here’s what's new:

  • Search across conversations, messages, and contacts from one place
  • Results appear as you type
  • Filter by one or multiple inboxes

This should make finding old conversations, messages, and contacts a lot quicker when you're out and about.

New in Quo: Analytics improvements for deeper insights into your calls and conversations

We've made some big improvements to Analytics in Quo.

Analytics has always helped you understand what's happening across your business. Now it's easier to dig deeper into the numbers and understand why.

Here's what's new:

  • Click into select charts to see the calls behind the numbers. Spot a spike in missed calls? Click the chart and see the actual calls that make up that data.
  • New call outcome breakdowns so you can distinguish between missed, abandoned, forwarded, and voicemail calls.
  • Compare performance against previous periods across key metrics.
  • See team activity trends over time with performance changes highlighted.
  • Track AI call tags and how they're trending over time.

Whether you're investigating missed calls, looking for staffing patterns, or trying to understand changes in call volume, Analytics now gives you more context without leaving the dashboard.

You don’t have to configure a thing. It’s available now on Business and Scale plans in the Analytics tab in your Quo inbox.

As always, we'd love to hear what you think and what you'd like to see next!

New in Quo: A new version of our API, conversation actions, group messaging, and more

We've been doing a lot of work behind the scenes on the Quo API and developer experience, including a new API version, rebuilt documentation, and a roadmap of what's coming next.

What's available today 👇

  • User endpoints
  • Mark conversations as read, open, or done
  • Retry failed messages through the API
  • New message.failed webhook event
  • New documentation covering request conventions, errors, rate limits, and building with AI agents
  • And something we know many of you have been waiting for: Group messaging support 🎉

You can now send a single group message to up to 10 recipients at once through the API, making it much easier to automate group conversations, updates, and notifications.

https://preview.redd.it/ddop14m04w7h1.png?width=2645&format=png&auto=webp&s=fa4a000e22bdc309cc5b84eea3b7abb2785ff0ea

And we're just getting started.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be adding support for contacts, calls, transcripts and AI summaries, conversations, messages, and phone numbers, giving you access to much more of Quo programmatically.

We're also working on additional capabilities including MMS support, contact notes, and more.

We've included a roadmap in the docs so you can follow along as new endpoints and features become available.

Whether you're building your own integration, using no-code tools, or working with AI agents, our goal is to make Quo much easier to build on.

You can explore everything at quo.com/docs.

As always, we'd love to hear what you'd like us to add next.

New in Quo: Tasks is now available on mobile

Hey everyone, happy Friday!

Earlier this week, we launched Tasks on web and desktop, and a lot of you asked when it would be available on mobile too.

Good news - the Android and iOS rollout is now live 👏

The idea behind Tasks is pretty simple. Customer conversations create work, and that work should stay connected to the conversation that created it.

On mobile, you can now:

  • Create a task from a conversation, a specific call or message, or a contact
  • Keep the task linked to that conversation, so you can jump back into the context at any time
  • View all open tasks for an inbox in a dedicated Tasks tab
  • Filter by owner, due date, or status
  • Mark tasks complete, reassign them, or delete them while you're on the go

If you're not seeing Tasks yet, check that you've updated your Quo app.

Available on all plans. Starter workspaces can have up to 10 open tasks.

Learn more about it here.

As always, we'd love to hear how you're using it and what you'd like to see next.

New in Quo: Tasks

We just launched Quo Tasks.

One thing we heard pretty consistently was that customer conversations create a bunch of follow-up work, but there wasn’t really a good way to track it inside Quo itself.

So people were using sticky notes, separate task apps, reminders to themselves, or just hoping they remembered later 😅

https://reddit.com/link/1u17ns2/video/50lxmghiv96h1/player

Now you can create tasks directly from conversations and keep everything tied together in one place.

  • Assign tasks to teammates
  • Set due dates
  • Track what’s overdue or completed
  • Keep the conversation context attached to the task

So if someone picks it up tomorrow, next week, or hands it off to someone else, all the context is still there.

(Mobile coming soon!)

Would love to hear what you think or how you'd use it.

New in Quo: Improvement to global search on web

Search has been one of the most common pieces of feedback we've seen from this community, so we've spent the last few months completely rebuilding it on web.

A few things that are now possible:

→ Search phone numbers in any format

→ Filter results by inbox or date range

→ See contacts synced from integrations in search results

→ Find conversations by phone number, contact names or group names

We also redesigned the search experience and rebuilt the backend to make results more accurate and relevant.

You can open search with Cmd + / (Mac) or Ctrl + / (Windows), start typing to search conversations and contacts, or press Enter to search message content.

This is rolling out now and we'd love to hear what you think. If there are still things you'd like search to do, let us know below.

And, again, a big thanks to our Reddit community for all of your thoughtful feedback 👏
