New in Quo: Capture leads with Sona over SMS (Beta)

Hey everyone, Andrew from Quo's Product team here 👋

We just launched Sona for lead capture over SMS into beta, and I'm excited to finally share it with you all.

One thing we've heard from a lot of customers is that auto-replies are helpful, but they only go so far. They let people know you've received their message, but the conversation still has to wait until someone on your team is available.

Now, Sona can start that conversation with leads right away.

When a potential customer starts a new conversation by text, or their call is missed, Sona can reply over SMS to:

  • Answer common questions
  • Collect important details
  • Leave a summary of the conversation for your team

That means, by the time your team checks their phone, they already have a qualified lead ready for follow-up.

I also put together a quick walkthrough below to show you how it works.

If you'd like to dive deeper, you can find more details, including setup instructions and different ways to use it, here: https://www.quo.com/sona#leads-over-sms

As always, we'd love to hear what you think. This is just the start, so if there's anything you'd like to see Sona handle as part of lead capture in the future, let us know in the comments.

Looking to buy a U.S. phone number for my company

Hi everyone,

I’m looking to buy a U.S. phone number for my company, Scruums LLC, mainly for Meta Business verification.

Meta requires documentation showing that the phone number belongs to the business. Does anyone know if the documentation provided by quo is valid for this type of verification?

Any recommendations or experience with this would be appreciated!

Android Auto

Are there any plans on supporting Android Auto? This would make calling clients from the road substantially easier.

Feature Request - Signature for every user or auto-snippet

We use a shared number for several technicians to be able to communicate via text with clients. I notice that the technicians don't remember to put their name at the end of messages and it gets confusing for the client because they don't know which person they are talking to (I can see in the Quo app but the client can't see those details). Would be great if every message automatically included the techs name like a signature field in an email instead of having to remember to include it every time. It could be as simple as a snippet that could be set to automatically get added to all messages.

Is anyone else’s DND turning on randomly?

I’ll notice a call is “sent to voicemail” in the middle of the day. Turns out DND is turned on but I did NOT turn it on and don’t have a setting to do this automatically. Anyone else experiencing this?

Feature Request - Pull up specific day in convo

Hi there, sometimes we need to find communication that was happening a month or so back.

Currently, it seems, the only way to do this is to "Page Up" the convo until we get to the right date.

If there's a better way please share.

Call in progress...

Good morning, long time user here. I have a team of 8 and we all use one single number to provide a customer facing support line. We often run into issues with "Call still in progress" long after the call is over. This causes the call to not generate a transcript, providing no details for the rest of the team. Looking for any tricks or tips to get around this bug!

Idea for a feature: Vacation mode/time away

Hey all!

So, we all know about the automations. It's great to be able to set up business hours and auto-replies that trigger in or out of those hours..but what happens if I have a family emergency, want to go on vacation, are short staffed, or have any other need to put up a unique message for a unique range date? As is, if this happens, I then have to go into the settings, adjust my business hours, delete my old messages, make new messages, go on vacation, come back, go back to settings, and readjust it all back to the way it was?

Well, I for one believe that to be a bit tedious (and unnecessarily so).

Why not integrate a vacation/time away mode where you can select a date and time for your departure and arrival back home? Then you could set up an automated message that occurs during this time period- and this message would temporarily override any of the normal automated messages while vacation mode is active.

As an example, let's say your work hours are monday-friday, 9am-5pm. Something happens Wednesday and you need to shut down shop until Monday. So, you select vacation mode, set dates for Wednesday-Monday, and have it say something like "we are out of office until Monday".

Thoughts?

Sudden and constant robocalls

Anyone else having this issue? I'm not talking about a normal amount of spam calls. In the last 4 days or so, we have had an insane uptick in spam calls. They don't get past the menu, but it's filling up our logs, it's preventing real calls from ringing through. We conduct a lot of business via text and even closing out these fake calls is wasting tons of time. We're getting a dozen per hour or more.

I've received 5 in the last two minutes while typing this post. It's insane. I just saw we missed two client calls that came in during a flurry of the spam calls.
