I’m genuinely convinced that limerence is some kind of mental disorder

This is a straight up clinical and psychological impairment. I know it isnt mentioned in the DSM-5 as a formal diagnosis or disorder but damn it still feels like it’s something like it!

Does anyone actually have any success stories here? Of overcoming limerence, regulating their nervous system, developing a secure attachment system and finding a healthy long term relationship?

I’m just curious. I know it’s possible even though I don’t really see the light at the end of the tunnel very clearly yet. I’m sure others have done it but I haven’t seen the proof with my own eyes yet.

I’ve been struggling with limerence for close to 2 years now. I’m coming to terms that I am dealing with a clinical impairment with the way I’ve been handling this. Still haven’t gotten over the projection I had of my LO in my head, and the possibility that she was going to be everything in my life that has always been missing.
