The panic posts are pathetic.

Im sorry but this sub is freaking out on day one of signings. Day one of an offseason where THEY LITERALLY CANT DO ANYTHING.

What were the expectations here? We all knew there wasnt much available and even if someone was, we have zero assets for trades.

I think what Darche has done is fine. This is a team that wont be competitive for at LEAST 3-5 YEARS. What the hell does it matter what moves are made RIGHT NOW?

Offseason Moves

I think this is a season where major moves don't need to be made. If anything it is another wait and see moment as the next core develops in the minors. But I think there are some guys that could be moved and I don't think the trade targets need to be too crazy.

Problem number 1 is clearly defense. Sorokin needs help. But I doubt help will come through a trade. If Soucy was what was available then it's probably better to just wait for kids like Aitcheson to arrive. Or maybe give a kid like Warren a real shot.

What I would rather see, is the Isles move some dead weight for at least one or two more 15-20 goal scorers. If there is one thing the Isles have had very few of each year, its 20 goal scorers.

Last season they had 3. Fucking 3. Now they had 3 others with 19 but still...that isn't going to cut it in today's high scoring league. So I really think this team only needs modest improvements. More so the team needs patience because there is a group of future Isles coming that could push them into a real playoff run.
