Happy 4th!

Working on some final edits of my new skin when the neighbors at the lake like to go big with their celebrations! Had to close up the laptop from the raining fireworks debris falling from the sky. 😂 🎆

Colorized Game Boy Games

I just figured out how to colorize the game boy games! Only issue is I can’t figure out how to change the white color. I can only get the shades of gray and black to change colors. When ever I try adding an additional filter to modify the white it breaks the other colors and makes some disappear and others have a weird shade of color.

Now I guess I can go down this rabbit hole and try to figure out some cool coordinated color themes.

Feel free to share your thoughts. Is this something anyone would be interested in?

Need some GB-DMG screen filter feedback

Ok, so I've been working on a new "Atomic" skin series and really putting some effort into a better screen filter for the original Game Boy. I'm using Core Image filters and not actual shaders since Delta isn't compatible with true shaders, so it's a bit limited.

I'm planning to have multiple screen filters including an indigo filter, and a light version of the original green that isn't as visually aggressive as most filters or shaders look, but I also want to have an as close to authentic filter option as well. These screenshots are what I currently have for that "authentic" filter.

I've added the monochrome/green overlay effect, added LCD pixel lines that are only applied to the dark parts of the image, added a slight bloom to the screen image, lowered the brightness and contrast slightly, and even added a little bit of "screen rot" along the edge (the brown border)

What are your thoughts? Do you like it as is? Does the screen bloom make it too soft? Is the contrast not dark enough or too faded? Are the shades of green accurate enough?
