35 years in Dawn Of NWA Scenario, thinking retiring the save

Reached 35 years on my current save, unfortunately reached the point where it has saved issues. Guessing the save data has got too big. Had just semi started a WWF V NWA storyline that was to including people choosing their side and eventually unification matches, (I formed WWF in 1963 took over NWA as a second brand in 1976)

Any recommendations on which scenario to play if I do stop this save, I've previously played dawn of wrestlemania (from 84-2012) and Dawn Of Monday Night Wars

Really wanted this to get to modern day, may still carry it on just saving locally will be more annoying if lose progress.

Save issues again

Hi this is a common problem, I've had it before with a 28 year save of the Dawn Of Wrestlemania scenario and now my Dawn Of The NWA save which is at 35 years won't save.

Been months since I asked this but anyone ever found a fix for this issue, really wanted to go from 1948 at the start of the scenario through to modern day

Red Dead Redemptions 20+ Year Career (Dawn Of The NWA Scenario)

(Due to NWA being brought out by WWF in 1976 and the original NWA Tag Team championships being retired in the game some history is unable to be looked up)

By far my favourite created tag team in all my saves on JOW. Created due to a lack of tag teams especially babyface tag teams, Red Bastien and Red Mckim two babyfaces with no direction formrd Red Dead Redemption in 1959.

Giving them a "bad ass babyface cowboy" gimmick the two became the longest running team of the save, 20+ years together as a team winning their first Tag Team titles in the NWA in May 1959.

They held the NWA Tag Team titles twice before I left the NWA to form Elite Pro Wrestling Japan in 61.

Forming the WWF in 63 they were one of the first teams I signed.

Red Dead won their first WWF Tag Team titles in July 1964.

The first Wrestlemania was 1966 and the teams second WWF Tag Team Title reign was ended by Antonio Inoki and Giant Baba, after the match the two teams showed a huge amount of respect towards each other.

Although two years later at Wrestlemania 3 was the first time Red Dead won the WWF Tag Team Titles at Wrestlemania, winning them from Mad Dog Vachon and Butcher Vachon in a violent bunk house match, the two teams meeting in various gimmick matches over the years.

Summerslam 1970 Red Dead lost to Gorilla Monsoon and Killer Kowalski in a barbed wire steel cage first blood match, the first in WWF as their year long feud finally came to a end.

The team would always feature in big 4 V 4 or 5 V 5 tag team matches, and were always two of the top babyfaces on the roster.

Red Bastien won the Royal Rumble in 71 and went on to win the WWF World Heavyweight championship from Nick Bockweinkel, that same Wrestlemania Red Mckim won the US championship from Stan Stasiak. Although Mckims US title reign was cut short due to a long injury.

Mckim returned from that injury to win The Royal Rumble the next year, Wrestlemania 7 was Red Dead V Red Dead as Red Bastien successfully defended his title, the two shook hands and hugged after the bell.

Red Bastien held the WWF World Heavyweight championship for 13 months his reign was ended by André the Giant in May 1971.

The two would always team up with Bruno, Dory Funk JR, Dusty Rhodes and others in big main event tag team matches as well as occasionally wrestling solo at times, they won the WWF Six Man Tag Team Titles twice, once with Dusty Rhodes and once with Dory Funk JR.

Wrestlemania 12 1977 it had been SIX long years since the team had held tag team gold and they won them here in a bull rope match against The Wild Samoans in a match that is still one of the highest rated in WWF history winning "Craziest match of the year" at the in game awards.

This title reign is at it stands the longest in WWF history at 19 months long with 15 title defences.

The teams final rivalry was with André The Giant and Big John Studd of the Heenan Family who ended this reign winning the titles from Red Dead at Survivor Series 1977.

The two teams met in various gimmick matches, Red Dead always losing through distraction or cheating, Red Dead would always come out on top in 3 V 3, 4 V 4 or 5 V 5 matches.

With it being announced that at Wrestlemania 14 in 1979 that the WWF World Tag Team championships and WWF United States Tag Team Championships would be unified Red Deads only chance at revenge on André and Studd was to win the US Tag Titles to get into the unification match.

They defeated the holders the North and South connection (Adrian Adonis and Dick Murdoch) at Royal Rumble 1979, and finally defeated André and Studd at Wrestlemania 14 that same year.

Red Mckim shocked the world the next day announcing his retirement from Wrestling, the WWF US Tag Titles were retired and WWF Tag Team Championships declared Vacant.

Red Bastien at 48 continued to wrestle, was given a new look, long gray beard, long black coat and black hat, a old gunslinger/outlaw looking for one more shot at glory before he rides into the sunset.

He won The Royal Rumble 1980 and then at Wrestlemania 15 he won the WWF World Heavyweight championship for a second time in the main event winning the title from Ric Flair.

After retaining the title against Stan Hansen at Summerslam 80 Red shook his hand and endorsed him as the new big bad outlaw cowboy of the WWF.

Red held lost WWF World Heavyweight championship till Survivor Series 1980 when he lost it back to Ric Flair.

He was unsuccessful in a attempt to win the Royal Rumble in January of 1981, and faced a uncertain future.

The march event was renamed Red Dead Redemption in 1981, a tag team tournament set to name number one contenders for the tag team championships at Wrestlemania in honour of Red Dead Redemption, Red Bastien was the special guest referee for the final, after the match it was expected he would announce his retirement when Bruno Sammartino approached the ring.

He said before Red rides off into the sunset he wants to face him, for the first time one on one at Wrestlemania, Red accepted the match.

Wrestlemania 16 1981 Red Bastien defeated Bruno Sammartino, the two shook hands and hugged as Red Bastien announced his retirement, leaving his cowboy hat in the ring.

April/May 1979 not a good time for the two world titles and two sets of tag titles!! (Dawn Of The NWA Scenario)

Dawn Of The NWA save now running WWF in 1979 with NWA as a second brand

Just before Wrestlemania there's a backstage brawl and now WWF Champion Terry Funk is to leave the company and NWA World Champion Jack Brisco is to leave the company,

Both lost their titles as planned which obviously didn't help in persuading them to stay....(Couldn't have them retain then just quit)

Also Red Dead Redemption just win the WWF Tag Team titles for a 7th time, while holding the WWF US Tag Team Titles (which I created as a second tag title before the takeover of NWA) in a title b title match and then Red Dead Redemption member Red Mckim retires out the blue while Red Dead hold two sets of tag titles...

Not a good month...

Events From My 31 Year Save Dawn Of The NWA Scenario 1948-1979

Just thought I'd post landmark dates from my save as it reaches it's year 31 my longest save on JOW.

Started as The NWA, left in 1963 the company was brought out by the WWF in 1978 so lot of the history is unavailable to look up!

There is obviously so many things could have included but here's some events from the save.

January 1948 The save begins and Lou Thesz is crowned the first NWA World heavyweight champion, holding the title for 40 Months the longest in the titles history. The Classy Nature Boys (Buddy Rogers and Fred Blassie) are the first NWA Tag Team Champions. Mildred Burke is the first NWA Women's World Champion.

May 1951 Black Green "The Ebony Giant" becomes the first recognised Black World Champion, a unknown to me made him a monster heel of the era.

August 1953-August 1958 Killer Kowalski has a historic 5 year reign as NWA National Champion winning it from Verne Gagne and losing it to Karl Gotch.

May 1959 Red Dead Redemption my favourite created tag team (Red Bastien and Red Mckim as Babyface Badass Cowboys) win their first tag team titles together, the NWA Tag Team Titles.

January 1961 leave the NWA to Form Elite Pro Wrestling Japan. First world champion is Masahiko Kamura.

January 1964 Bruno Sammartino becomes the first WWF Intercontinental Champion.

January 1966 Bruno Sammartino wins the first Royal Rumble match.

April 1966 Bruno Sammartino finally wins the big one and his first World title, beating Killer Kowalski in the main event of the first Wrestlemania.

April 1968 Bruno Sammartino two year run as world champion is ended by the unstoppable Gorilla Monsoon.

April 1969 Wrestlemania 4 hosts a dream match as Bruno Sammartino successfully defends his newly won WWF World Heavyweight championship against NWA Legend Lou Thesz.

The Funks lose the Six man Tag Team Titles, Dory announces his retirement .

December 1971 The Bushwhackers (booked as violent psychotic Dudley boys style gimmick) won the WWF World Tag Team Titles from The Funk Brothers, cracks continued to show in the Funk Brothers relationship.

January 1972 Red Mckim shocks the world returning early from injury to set up a all Red Dead Redemption main event at Wrestlemania, as Red Bastien retains his WWF World Heavyweight championship.

April 1972 Red Bastien retains the title against his team mate and best friend Red Mckim at Wrestlemania 7.

After a year of bickering, resentment and blaming each other for their six man title loss and fathers retirement Terry Funk and Dory Funk face each other with their father Dory as special guest referee. Dory JR wins.

Terry turns on his brother and father, leading to a on/off feud between Terry Funk and Dory JR that continues over numerous years.

May 1972 After winning the Wrestlemania battle royal for three straight years André The Giant demands a title match and wins his first WWF World Heavyweight championship from Red Bastien at Saturday Nights Main Event.

November 1973 After slowly turning face during his title reign, insisting on shaking hands with his opponents before and after each match André The Giant loses the WWF World Heavyweight championship to Killer Kowalski due to heavy interference, Kowalski forms the Iron Syndicate (Killer Kowalski, Ivan Koloff, Ivan Kravshecnko, Fritz Von Erich, Waldo Von Erich and Axel Dieter).

Summerslam Bruno Faces André the two friends facing eachother in a respectful match until Bobby Heenan interferes and helps André win the title.

André and Bruno argue but shake hands and then André turns on Bruno, viciously attacking him and choking him, shaking hands with Bobby Heenan solidifying his heel turn.

September 1976 The NWA is taken over by the WWF as operates as a second brand. Dory Funk JR is the first NWA World Champion under WWF Ownership.

A gimmick for Axel Dieter... Forget El Grande Americano....its El Grande Alemán!!!

With his son Ludvig Kaiser/Axel Dieter JR/Marcel Barthel extremely popular as El Grande Americano...and in the news this week and with Axel Dieter on my Dawn Of The NWA save at a loose end after the end of The Iron Syndicate Stable he was part of has ended,

I thought why not create a new gimmick and incorporate some modern wrestling into it, and now have a ready made feud for Mil Mascaras who I've also done little with.

Long live El Grande Alemán!

Killer Kowalski Near 30 Year Career 1948-1976 Dawn Of The NWA Scenario.

Starting as the NWA in 1948, Killer Kowalski was one of my first signings, starting off on the training roster. I decided to make him a version of Walter/Gunther for this save.

Has a win/loss record of 265-64.

Spent a total of 53 Months as WWF World Heavyweight champion over 4 reigns.

Killer ended up a 7 Time World Champion (WWF World Heavyweight X4 NWA World Heavyweight champion X 3 (2 were AI booked)

WWF Tag Team Champion X2, (With Gorilla Monsoon) NWA Coast to Coast Champion X2 (AI Booked) NWA National Champion,

Pushed as a dominant heel from the start, he won his first title at NWA Summer Showdown 1953 winning the NWA National Championship a title he held for 60 Months, the longest title reign of the save and I've booked on JOW losing the title to Karl Gotch at Summer Showdown 1958.

He won his first world title the NWA World heavyweight Title in July 1960 and held for 5 months before losing it to Lou Thesz.

Killer was AI booked from January 1961-May 1963 as I left NWA to form Elite Pro Wrestling Japan.

Forming the WWF in May 1963, Killer was one of my first signings and the first ever WWF World champion, beating Bruno Sammartino in a tournament final, he held the title for 20 months, losing it to Dory Funk before winning it back a few months later and holding it for nearly a year before losing it to Bruno Sammartino at the first Wrestlemania in 1966.

Forming a dominant tag team with Gorilla Monsoon, and eventually forming the heel stable The Iron Syndicate, which lead to him and Gorilla friends and a team for ten years, their relationship falling apart, Gorilla turning face winning the title from Killer at Wrestlemania 10.

Winning the title back from Gorilla his Wrestlemania career went full circle when ten years on from their history making first Wrestlemania main event, at Wrestlemania 11 in 1975 he faced his biggest rival Bruno Sammartino in a violent I Quit match, once again losing the title, this time Killer and Bruno shook hands, with their near ten year on/off rivalry finally over Killer announced his retirement.
