Veteran of Thumbtack, looking to make the move into Task Rabbit, what do I need to know and what should I look out for?

Hey everyone! I'm currently a professional handyman looking to make extra cash in my spare time, I figured doing some tasks on Task Rabbit would work out great! Before I get into it, what's it like from the tasker end? Is it worth it? Do you end up making money? Do you have any tips on how I should use this app as a professional, things to look out for, etc?

I'm a wedding officiant on the side (Yeah, not related to handymanning in any way, but it's fun and easy!), and I'm listed on Thumbtack, so I'm no stranger to potentially predatory gig work apps.

Chicagoland Scrap Metal folks: what are your favorite scrap yards?

I’ve got some stuff I’ll need to bring into a scrap yard soon, and I’m looking for suggestions! Obviously the best prices are preferred, but I’ll take a little less of the staff and owners are good folks. I live on the north side, but willing to go wherever in the city/north burbs.

Part frustrated, part curious. I drive for work, I’m a handyman for a chain of gyms. While I would much rather take busses and trains, I’m not allowed to do that. (I would if I could). Anyway, I was leaving Streeterville today and I am confused as to why there are so many cars and drivers downtown when this city has great public transit. Like… especially with gas prices the way they are, why are you choosing to drive to downtown and paying for parking as opposed to taking the statistically safer and cheaper option? (This question also applies to everyone who drives to the gym I maintain in lakeview. It’s so walkable and I don’t understand!
