cell phone plan with builtin voicemail "TRANSCRIPTION".
My main phone is a cell phone (an iPhone 16) with Consumer Cellular. I also have a Vonage VOIP account because I don't want to miss calls from old (forgotten) friends that only know that old Vonage number.
Several years ago to control the amount of Spam calls to the Vonage number I changed its options to go straight to Voicemail and those audio files AND THEIR TRANSCRIPTION, would be forwarded as a text message to my cell phone and my email address. That quickly killed the Spam, I now get almost no calls there at all.
With so little use I'd like to stop that $22/month Vonage bill but I don't want to lose that Voicemail Transcription which quickly lets me know of callers that bothered to leave me a Voicemail.
Are there any similar options I could use instead of my Vonage setup?
