I took the DRP last year thru the SBA. Applied for unemployment a few months after the end of pay with them. Received unemployment for a few months and then found a job. Now NJ unemployment office says I wasn’t entitled to it and I have to pay it back. I have an appeals call this week and wondering if the SBA will be on the call. My argument is that it wasn’t guaranteed to be approved for the DRP and if they really wanted me to stay, they could have declined me for it. I was there just under two years. Any insight of how to fight in having to pay it back?
