Summit League Season 3 is LIVE! End of Season Tournament, Referral Rewards, Clip of the Season & More
Hey everyone!
Summit League Season 3 is officially live.
If you played last season, your team has already been rolled over, so there's nothing you need to do besides hop back in and start scheduling matches. Season 3 runs now through August 31st, with our End of Season Tournament taking place on September 6th.
One thing we've been trying to do with Summit League is make the season feel like more than just a ladder. We want there to be things happening throughout the season that make it worth sticking around, so we've put together a few things we're excited about.
End of Season Tournament
This season we're putting up a $200 base prize pool for the End of Season Tournament. The top 6-8 teams (depending on participation) will qualify based on the regular season standings. To be eligible, teams just need to complete at least six Summit League matches during the season.
We're hoping this becomes something players can work toward every season and continue to grow over time.
Clip of the Season
Everybody has that one clip they wish someone else had seen.
This season we're giving away $25 for the best play from an official Summit League Season 3 match. If you hit something crazy, post it in the Discord with your match lobby link and we'll announce the winner after the tournament.
Referral Program
If you've got friends who have talked about joining but haven't yet, we're also trying something new.
If you bring in a brand new team and they end up qualifying for the End of Season Tournament, you'll earn $10 for that referral. There's no limit, so if you convince a few teams to join and they all qualify, you'll get paid for each one.
Just make sure you let us know before that team's first Summit League match so we can keep track of the referral.
We'll also be continuing community broadcasts, spotlighting teams and players, casting community matches, and making improvements throughout the season based on feedback.
We've still got a long way to go, but every season the goal is to make Summit League a little better than the last one.
If you've been looking for a place to play organized Halo without waiting around for tournaments every few months, we'd love to have you join us.
