ELI5: I casted to a former hookups TV 3.6kms away.
This was a while ago but the conversation just came up again and we can’t figure out how this has happened.
I was at a friends house one night and I was connected to her wifi (the same wifi that her TV was connected to). I attempted to cast a video to her TV on YouTube of a friend of mine. Nothing appeared. Weird.
Then a few moments later, a girl that I had hooked up with over a year and a half prior messaged me informing me that a random video of my friend had appeared on her TV.
The two of these people live 3.6kms away. I assumed you’d need to be closer AND share a wifi connection.
How has this happened?
