"...hows my list?" How is your brain?

"...hows my list?" How is your brain?

Forgive my cynicism, but the insane number of posts asking for list help is starting to bother me.

If you put me in the drivers seat of an airplane there is no way I will be able to pilot it. Granted that is an extreme example but just bringing a tailored meta list will not bring you victory.

On the notes of tailored meta. They get countered, They get solved, they get borning because your opponents have already seen them before.

I understand if you are new you dont want to waste money buying a "bad unit" or you don't want to get steamrolled because it's not fun. But part of that is how you learn. How you improve.

If nothing else. Instead of just posting your list look at all of the other folks who have posted and look for the common demoninators. Read the comments (you'll see me in several of them...) personally the best way to get good advice is to take your list to a game. Afterwards you can ask your opponent for advice/critique. They can say something like. "Yeah you really struggled taking out my brick of terminators. Some D3 weapons can go a long way on those..." or "hey try bringing some scouts or something to be action monkeys, that will help you catch up on secondaries" (this is assuming you're facing a normal person)

The best way to improve is to play the game. Find a local weekly league, join a TTS group. Just have fun with it.

Pic for attention. Not trying to call anyone specifically out. just a former MTG player who's fed up with netdecking and meta chasing.

Praetorian Knight Errant.

Customized my knight with a Lego Pith helm and some fringe for the epaulettes from the craft store. Still need to finish the decorations and decals. Any suggestions on what I should put on the shield?

BIKES ARE COOKED IN 11TH

Or at least a 7 man brick is....

A friend and I did our best to follow the 11th edition core rules to play a game and what I learned is the 9in coherencey circle is a headace and it is near impossible to fight with all your bikes with the new 2 inch engagement range bubble vs the old base to base rule. To be fair, having two bikes nose to tail deep doesnt make sense, their arms are not that long.

A large charge target like a vehicle or a large infantry brick is fine because there is ample space for our bikes to swarm around, but before suboden i never really charged a tank or anything

My friend was playing his thousand suns and trying to fight his two chaos spawns (50mm base) or a 5 man unit of marines was too crowded and impossible to get them all in without complete wrap around, so you really gotta use that 3 inch pile in to move around. Thank goodness suboden let's us move the unit through walls but any other bike unit is toast.

Turning them side ways also doesnt work because the width is 2 inches at its widest so you really need to stagger them in like honeycomb to maximize your bikes in engagement range.

Pic is of our 11th ed game but mainly for attention*
