Extension of Moonboard mini 2025 - advice

Hello guys,

After a while, I finally managed to extend my board, and now it's much higher than the original mini board. I need some advice on what holds to put on the board extension.

What would you do in my place? I thought about ordering more wooden holds from Moonboard, or maybe I should consider a different provider, since all the new problems will be custom anyway...

Would you order more wooden holds / a different set from Moon, or look elsewhere?

How to prevent Denial of Wallet when dealing with short lived tokens on client side

Hey!

I have a mobile app that uploads media files directly to cloud blob storage.

As for now i try to avoid proxying traffic through my backend, the backend issues a short-lived token presigned AWS / Azure SAS not decided yet on the cloude provider.

My concern is Denial of Wallet, the client runs it not controlled environment so I have to assume the upload token can be extracted. Once extracted how to prevent from uploading garbage until my storage/egress/transaction bill explodes?

Building mini moonboard, hold advice.

Hello folks,

I'm building a miniboard right now, inspired by the project by Climber Dad https://www.etsy.com/listing/4303053175/free-standing-adjustable-climbing-wall?etsrc=sdt
I already have all the materials, and I'm going to make an adjustable wall (25–40 degrees) so my kids can have fun with me too.

I've also found a nice project for a lighting system on GitHub, so I'm going to build it myself https://github.com/FabianRig/ArduinoMoonBoardLED

As my build progresses, I need to order the holds, and I'm a little bit stuck there. At first, my choice was the 2025 hold set, but I read a lot of comments saying that the 2020 set was definitely better for hard finger-strength moves, which transfer better to rock climbing. So I started wondering whether the 2020 set would be better for me.

A bit about me: ~6 years climbing exp, 7A on a normal Moonboard, 7B/C sport. I'm mainly a sport climber, building the Moonboard to improve my finger strength.
Any advice on which hold set I should order, and maybe on the overall build process?

Hey folks

Looking for opinions

I'm building something Loom-shaped: record screen + webcam in the browser. Difference from Loom: sessions are 20 min – 2 h. It has to survive flaky school-tier WiFi, tab freezes internet problems and I thought about storing in directly in Azure Blob rather than vendor-hosted ingest. I know tools like Amazon IVS - but cost are scary, I want to build something on my own.

A few specific things I'd love to hear about:

Anyone run recorder for 1–2 h continuous in production without memory creep? Is tus-js-client reliable for this usecase or there is a different option battle tested in the market?

For the durable buffer (network slower than encoder): IndexedDB vs OPFS

I know that I'm not solving anything new here looking for opinions about tech stack which is suitable for this case
