Dual attendence

Where I'm from people go to the church for all different reason. Some are not even believers but still love attending church. I honestly do too. Even though I don't receive the communion I love attending service.

Since I'm isolated and have no friend's meetings near me I don't mind this. Even if I did have accessibility to meetings I would probably still have this cultural dual thing.

Do you guys also have a dual attendance of some sort?

Isolated Quaker

Hello!

I'm an isolated quaker. I don't have any meetings near me (I don't live in USA or the UK). The Quakers I do have access to have meetings where I'm from a couple times a year otherwise online meetings which I'm not a fan of.

I'm also a conservative friend which makes the whole thing a lot more complicated since they don't exist in my country.

Do you guys have any tips on how I can handle the isolated way without loosing the spirit? I know historically isolated Quakers have definitely existed because of imprisonment or long journeys. Thanks for the help!

Quaker rythmns

Hey!

Have you guys had any music or hymns at an attending? Or is that a whole separate tool beside the classic silent meetings.

If you guys have had music, what's the lyrics about? If you are christ centred is it psalms? If not, what is it about?

Do you guys know any quaker figures who have contributed to our music?

I'm quite new to the quakers and I got a lot of questions haha.

Sincerely,

A Friend.
