My video went from 200 views to 150k views overnight

I told my wife I finally have a post! lol.

Anyway, I created a novelty account 1 month ago tomorrow actually. About 60% of my videos do pretty well locally. I posted a video a few days ago using the same concept. However, this time, I picked a hook shot that chatgpt suggested. I posted it and got 100 views so I deleted it. I posted it again with different captions and it got 210 this time.

My wife comes in and tells me to change that first shot because its not the main finale, which was in the middle. I changed it and posted. A few hours later, the post was at 5k views. I woke up this morning and the post is at 150k views.

All because I changed the first shot.

Edit: That post went nuts and hit 600k on tiktok and 1.6M on IG. 90k shares across both networks.

Does buying YouTube subscribers drop reach overall ?

I know some creators buy YouTube subscribers or fake engagement to make their channels look bigger, but doesn’t that eventually drop their actual reach too? When channels have high subscriber counts but weak watch time, low comments, and poor engagement, I’d assume YouTube notices that mismatch sooner or later. Curious if anyone here has seen channels recover after using fake subscribers or if it permanently affects long term growth and recommendations on YouTube

Anyone else miss old YouTube before everything became optimized ?

Older YouTube videos felt way more random and genuine compared to now. Today everything feels engineered around thumbnails, retention graphs, watch time, and algorithm performance. Even creators themselves sometimes seem more focused on growth strategy than making fun videos. Curious if others miss older YouTube culture too or if the platform simply evolved because audiences changed over time

instagram is literally the easiest place to blow up right now

a lot of people send me their instagram to review… and tbh it’s kinda frustrating to see

because most of them clearly don’t know what they’re doing, but still ask “why am i not getting followers or views?

talking from 10+ years on instagram and other platforms… instagram is literally the easiest place to blow up right now. people just suck at using it , it’s not your niche , your page just looks bad. be honest, would YOU follow your own account?

fix your profile first. clean pfp, clear bio, pinned posts that actually show what you do. if your page looks dead, no one’s following even if a reel pops

then content… reels matter but not your boring repetitive “idea” posts. make it attractive, fast, strong hook. give people a reason to stop.

and when something works stop changing everything. double down on it. same style, same format, run it again and again until it dies then repeat again

that’s literally how pages grow

instagram isn’t hard… you just don’t know how to play the game yet

Why do TikTok followers grow fast for one month and then suddenly slow down completely?

I had a period where I was gaining TikTok followers every single day without changing much, then out of nowhere the growth almost completely stopped. The weird part is my content quality honestly feels better now than when the account was growing fast. Makes me wonder if TikTok gives accounts temporary momentum boosts and then pulls back reach later. Has anyone here gone through a slowdown phase and managed to recover naturally?

Does Replying Fast Boost Instagram Posts?

I started testing something small on Instagram recently. On a few posts, I replied to every comment within the first hour instead of checking back later in the day. Weirdly enough, those posts felt more active and seemed to keep getting engagement longer than usual. I can’t tell if it actually affected reach or if more conversation simply kept people interacting naturally. Has anyone else noticed a difference when replying quickly to comments, or do you think it makes no real impact on performance?

Do YouTube creators start losing their real personality over time ?

A lot of creators feel more natural when they’re small, but after growing on YouTube their personality sometimes starts feeling more scripted and calculated. It’s like they slowly become a version of themselves built for the audience instead of acting normally anymore. Do you think long term success on YouTube changes people naturally, or do creators slowly sacrifice authenticity just to keep growing?

Instagram earnings

Not a beauty talk but,

I’ve been seeing a lot of content about starting a “faceless” Instagram page, posting 5–7 sec reels daily, and making $3k–$10k/month.

I’m curious how realistic this actually is.

For those who’ve tried:

- Did you start from scratch or buy a page?

- How many followers/views did it take before earning?

- What monetization worked (affiliate links, theme pages, dropshipping, digital products)?

- How long before first income?

- What’s the biggest challenge people don’t talk about?

Is this a legit side hustle or mostly overhyped content?

Thanks in advance 🙏

A lot of creators say they make videos because they love it, but realistically money changes everything. If YouTube suddenly removed monetization and sponsorships tomorrow, do you think most creators would still upload consistently? Curious how much of creator motivation is actual passion versus treating YouTube like a business once growth starts happening

I used to spend hours polishing every second of my YouTube videos with cuts, effects, and transitions, thinking higher effort equals better performance. Recently tried a simpler, more raw style with faster uploads, and somehow the views improved. Now I’m confused whether over editing was actually hurting retention or just wasting time. Has anyone else experimented with simpler editing and seen better results? Or is this just a coincidence and quality still wins long term

It’s starting to feel like TikTok is pushing already established creators more consistently while smaller accounts struggle to break through even with decent content. You scroll and keep seeing the same big creators on repeat, while new voices barely get a chance to reach wider audiences. It makes growth feel less about content quality and more about momentum once you’re already ahead. Not sure if this is just perception or an actual shift in how distribution works, curious if others are noticing this too.

Sometimes people land on your profile after seeing a post, but don’t follow even if the content isn’t bad. That makes me think the bio might be playing a bigger role than it seems. A few words at the top could be deciding whether someone stays or leaves. Curious how others look at their bio and if changing it ever made a noticeable difference.

Looking back at older videos can feel strange because your perspective changes over time. Something that felt good while uploading might not feel the same later, or you might notice things you would do differently now. It can show how much you’ve improved or changed your approach. Curious if you revisit your old YouTube videos and how your opinion about them changes after some time.

The early videos usually teach the most, even if they do not perform well. You start noticing patterns in what works, what does not, and where your time is going. Those first few uploads often shape how you approach everything later. Curious what your first 10 YouTube videos taught you and what you would do differently now.

Imagine you can’t change your plan once you commit. No reacting to trends, no switching ideas midway. Just five uploads locked in. It forces you to think about direction, consistency, and what you actually want your channel to be known for. What would those five videos look like and why?

Before starting a new video, having a clear plan can make a big difference in how it performs. Some creators jump straight into recording, while others think through the idea, title, and structure first. That early clarity often shapes the final result more than expected. Curious how you approach your next upload and whether planning ahead has actually helped your YouTube performance.
