Cert iii in legal studies

I'm returning to school for the first time since I was 13 (complicated past)

I got into the course that I eventually hope will get me into a dream job .

I am extremely nervous. I start next month and it's on campus full time and I feel very unprepared.

Assuming I have absolutely nothing, what do I need for this course?

What can I expect?

Unbelievably awful "new" manager

I currently work in a popular chocolate Cafe in Australia.

Recently, due to low staff, no Managers or supervisors ( multiple people quit on the spot, a whole other story ) a " temp Manager " was sent from another state .

In the 2 weeks he has been here 2 people have quit , on the spot , due to his actions .

One underage girl quitting within hours of calling out sick and he repeatedly calling , texting and face timing her to tell her to come to work. He kept calling her beyond store hours, well into the night, overnight and long after she quit.

One boy quitting when he stood still for 3 ( THREE) minutes to his end of shift after a full day shift and the new manager SCREAMING at him to get back to work, that he was wage stealing those 3 minutes and if he wasn't working those seconds he would be terminated. He quit on the spot.

He has rearranged the entire store , moving things sometimes daily and not informing anyone . Yelling at staff when items cannot be found or we say we are sold out of an item when it had been moved to an impossible to find spot.

He does no make coffee, cannot make coffee , had never handled a coffee machine before despite working for the company for 3 months. Coffee is 90% of our sales.

He'll regularly work for 12-15 hours ( rostering himself on for those hours as he's in charge of rostering) and everyone else gets 3 hour shifts .

He'll take 1-2 hour long " breaks " leaving the store in that time.

He spends his 12 hour shifts sitting in the back room, leaving the other single staff ( often underage) member to run the store on their own .

His first day in store he had NEVER used a POS system . Never . Our states POS system is fairly universal and very easy to pick up on . He cannot figure it out and regularly asks for help.

For the chocolate we sell , for hot chocolates , drizzles , fondues etc he dilutes .

We get the liquad chocolate in 2kg bags . He will dilute it with 1 to 1 litre of milk or water. There's no consistency.

It tastes like shit and people have complained.

He brags he works 16-18 hour days , that everyone should , and he owns mansions and multiple cars and was able to bring his entire extended family from his home country to live in his mansions.

He brags when he originally came here , only 5 years ago, with just $100 in his pocket, he would work non stop over 24 hours , sleep an hour then go back to work.

He says he still does this , that his entire diet consists of UBER eats and his breaks is the only time he eats .

Today , in a cafe , he informed us that we are no longer to drink or eat anything in the Cafe, beyond our own water in our own water bottles ( disregarding our own lunches, not that anyone gets a lunch on their 3 hour shift )

He told Cafe workers they are no longer allowed to drink coffee or eat leftover food or "end of day food". If we did then the drinks and food would be taken from our wages and we would have our contract terminated.

Yes I have informed head office multiple times , head office is now staffed largely by his own family members.

Yes , I am working other jobs and actively looking for other work.

I hate hospitality so much .
