Anet should implement cross-game chat with GW3 launch

One thing I envy about Blizzard games is that you can chat with friends across games.

If Anet really is serious about building a coherent GW community instead of just pushing 1 game, I think this feature needs to happen. That way the community would feel less fractured - doesn't matter that 1 friend is on GW1, another on GW2, and you're playing GW3, you'd feel connected like you're part of the same thing.

Would also make it a lot easier to keep up with all games, friends, happenings and make it easier to hop between games.

Fall Gold raspberry might be prone to losing its yellow color

This happened to ours so I did some digging online and found a few threads about people having similar experiences. They thought that the bushes they've bought were mislabeled, but I doubt it.

I know for a fact that ours is a Fall Gold, because:

  • I've purchased 2 plants.

  • Both plants had berries on them when purchased.

  • Both were yellow, same cultivar.

This year one of them is producing red ones, the other's still yellow. The one that turned red has no other bushes in its vicinity, so we can rule out suckers from other plants taking its spot.

Same ripening time, same berry shape/size, exactly the same taste. Except one of them is now producing red raspberries.

So don't blame your local garden centers if yours ends up being red, it probably wasn't mislabeled.

Would summer transplant be a good idea in this case?

So last fall I've planted a couple of bareroot grapes.

Then we got hit by the coldest winter in 10 years, causing the grapes to wake up later, followed by historic drought in spring, and now 35C+ is forecast (~95F). The vines barely grew, some of them have less than 5cm of shoot growth (~2 inches) and a few tiny leaves. The soil at this site is also rather poor, rocky, dry.

For the record we're not new to growing grapes and lots of old grapevines are thriving at this site, but the new ones are really struggling to get established.

I'm considering digging up the grapes to replant them in pots with good soil for a year before planting them on the site again next year, this time with an established root system.

The question is - can I? I know it's best done when dormant and summer is just about the worst time of year to do it, but they're doing really poorly. Last year's plants are also stagnant, I dug one up in spring and saw that it basically grew no new roots in its first year.

If I dig them up now, what are my odds of doing more harm than good? Should I just leave them? What would you do in my position?
