Have I been scammed?

I recently bought a used HP Elitebook 840 g9 from a shop. It was working fine when I bought it. I checked everything, nothing seems to be wrong.

But today it booted up and suddenly turned off. I was working in the laptop yesterday, and it was working fine.

So after the sudden turning off I turned it on again, but it shows 3 long beeps and 2 short beeps error sound. I searched for it and found out it's a RAM related issue. I tried holding down the power button for 30 seconds and booting up again and didn't work. So I wanted to remove the RAM and put It back again.

So I removed the back panel, and this is what I really want to know from you. Just after I removed the back panel, I noticed that the metal covers that are supposed to be covering the SSD and RAM is missing. Not only that, the SSD slot is covered with tape, and as I can see it's not a full length SSD. So is this normal or have I been scammed?

The shop gave me a three months warrenty, and still it has been 3 weeks since I bought the laptop. Please tell me what should I do.

Thank you in advance.

(The photo shows the inside just after I removed the back panel, I did nothing)

Need help to choose a laptop to buy.

I'm expecting university entrance this year from biological science. So I want to buy a reliable laptop that can handle most university work.

Also I have an idea to learn some IT in addition to my biology degree, some coding and stuff.

My budget is under 300k.(Max).

Also should I chose a laptop with DDR 4 or DDR5 RAM type?

Hi everyone. I've just got my results for the 2025 A/L exam. ABB with an z score of 1.64 in the bio stream . Please, this post might be a bit long, but if you can give me your valuable opinion, I'm truly grateful.❤️

The thing is, I'm suffering from a chronic skin disease since I was 17. Not contagious. I've battled with it so much to get to this point. Actually, I skipped my first A/L attempt in 2024 because my condition got worse at that time.

Now I have something on my hands. So I was thinking should I sieze the opportunity that I already have and apply for Bio Science or try another round to get into medicine.

But I pretty much don't have a drive towards being a medical student. My goal is to get the best of my abilities so I won't regret in the future. I'm afraid that if I do something else, I'll waste my potential. I'm not bragging, but I think I have the potential to be a doctor if I try. But my true liking is for the research fields, which I'll be able to get into if I choose bio science.

I will be able to sit the upcoming A/L exam if I want to. Let's say I got the necessary result (optimistically 🫡). Will I be able to withstand the stress and workload as a medical student with my chronic disease? It gets triggered from time to time. When it triggers, I can barely do my work and most of the time I have to rest. Is it worth it the struggle for me to be a doctor? Or are there great career paths that I will be able to find by doing bio science? What will be suitable for me to do while managing my illness? Also I don't have an issue working abroad.

( Also honestly, I see my friends who got into medicine post online, and that has an impact on me too. I know it doesn't matter and you should be choosing your own path but it hurts a little to see them chasing their paths and I'm here struggling with a sh*tty illness🥲)
