Text+ fields become increasingly slow to edit when copy + pasted a bunch

To preface, I have basically 0 knowledge on how anything, software or computer related, works on a technical level. Been using Resolve for ~4 months now to make fairly basic gameplay compilations with text commentary (example here). To make things look just a little bit more nice for the audience, I've been adding a little extra flair to the text fields that I use (I have them move on and off screen, and they have a background to ensure 100% legibility). The only problem is that because every text field is going to have a different amount of text in it, I need to manually change the coordinates of all 4 key frames as well as the size of the background. When I tried to use text anchoring to get rid of needing to change keyframe coords, I found that my text was regularly getting cut off if it went on for too long without a line break.

The issue arose when I tried using text+ fields rather than regular text fields because they actually let me anchor text without cutting it off and because it has a better feature for implementing backgrounds that has it adjust them for me automatically. I was thinking that this way I could set up one text+ field with specific settings, then copy + paste it whenever I wanted to put text into the video and the only things I'd need to manually adjust are the places where line breaks go and colouring specific words if need be.

This worked out for a bit... but now that I have ~30 text+ fields, new ones become incredibly slow to type in to the point of making the entire program not respond for several seconds if I don't type at a snail's pace. It doesn't seem to make the older text+ fields slow to edit, though. I also found that if i create an entirely new text+ field and then give it the exact same properties as the other text+ fields, It doesn't take 5 business days to type in... what's going on here exactly? I even went so far as to consult the 2nd page of Google and beyond, but all I can find is information about lag upon rendering, which isn't the issue i'm facing here. The closest thing I could find to a hint was someone on an old forum thread saying that text+ uses a lot of resources due to utilizing Fusion, but that thread didn't have a solution to my problem
