If they want to continue with timed raid fights, then, to promote build diversity, the devs should add alternative method(s) to achieve platinum.

One way I've been thinking about is having the tiers also be tied to how many times you go down in a fight where completing the fight without going down earns you platinum, going down 1-3 times gets you gold, and anything more is silver.

Either way, players will still gravitate towards whatever kills the fastest but at least this way, we're not bottlenecked into very specific builds that prioritize damage.
