Yesss!! Angel Food Cake Low Calorie (82 p/slice) + High Protein + No Weird Ingredients!!

Yesss!! Angel Food Cake Low Calorie (82 p/slice) + High Protein + No Weird Ingredients!!

Today I made two angel food cakes, inspired by the recipe on Sally’s Baking Addiction website. I wanted to experiment by simply reducing the high calorie ingredients and the results were amazing!! The first was great, but I could detect a little metallic taste from the cream of tartar, so I reduced that as well in the 2nd cake and it was beyond delicious!!

Here’s my list of modified ingredients, but follow the steps and tips that she has on her website. When paired with fresh strawberries, and some CocoWhip, it can provide extra deliciousness and sweetness!! The cake does not rise as much as one with all the ingredients, only about 3” tall, but this modified ingredient list makes the most delicious and moist cake ever!!

Help slowing down a toy coaster car on a concrete patio…

Hello engineers! This toy roller coaster was bought for a friend’s Halloween party (held at a grass park) last year but afterwards was brought to a concreted outdoor patio - I learned that it hasn’t been used much since because the problem is that the car goes way too fast. A carpet has been placed at the bottom of the ramp, but that hardly slows the kids in the car down and an adult has to always be there to grab the car to slow down and stop the car before they hit the fence. I would love any suggestions on how to modify the car or floor or ramp to slow down the car!! Thank you in advance!

I have access to a kumquat tree but I never really liked to eat them whole because they’re too sour. But I found that the skin is really sweet so now I tend to just eat the skin and toss the inside. Well, I found an apple corer in my drawer and decided to make these delicious kumquat rings, skin only, by just slicing them and then taking out the middle with the corer. The result is a perfectly sweet-and-sour snack that is super low-calorie and packed with vitamin C!! Super perfect and delicious for anybody that likes sweet-and-sour gummies!! I sliced 20 kumquats which produced 75 grams of rings, for a total of 53 calories. Increase the quantity for VOLUME!!

Strawberry Gummy Fruit Snacks
170g strawberry puree 56 calories
2 packets Knox Gelatin 40 calories
3 tbsp Lemon juice 9 calories
105 calories

For those who love gummies like me…I was inspired by u/SawdustIsMyCocaine to make gummies that were 10/10!! So this is what I came up with!! They are very gummy like and absolutely delicious with only 3 ingredients. You can double or triple the recipe to have more VOLUME for very few calories. Plus uses good clean fresh ingredients. I made this first batch and started with a smaller amount. This produces 1 cup! And very filling.

Evenly shake gelatin packets over lemon juice and stir to blend well. Let sit for 5 minutes. Blend strawberries to a puree and heat to 120 degrees, no more. This happens quick at low heat. Whisk in gelatin (will be a chunk) until all lumps out. Lightly spray silicone molds with Pam and spoon mixture in. No molds with any side greater than 1” should be used or it may stay “wet” on the outside (I’m going to try 1/2” molds next because I think it will produce the most gummy like texture while maintaining the flavor). I used small gummy bear molds and larger half sphere molds. I like the larger ones. Refrigerate for 1.5 hours. Take out from fridge, unmold them, and place on wire rack to “dry” at room temperature for 8 hours minimum. I let mine sit for 20 hours.

These are super yummy!!! I feel like you could easily get away with half of the sugar and butter mixture and still feel great about it. I ate 5 and will try storing leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge with each layer of crackers separated by parchment paper.

Sausage and Sauerkraut

Red cabbage - 75

Shallot - 5

Apple cider vinegar - 25

Sausage - 250

Yellow Mustard - 10

365 calories

Fry your sausage until cooked through and remove from your pan. Use the leftover fat from the sausage to sauté your shallot. You can also use onion powder in place of the shallot (and instead add directly to the cabbage). Steam your red cabbage until soft. Add the cabbage (3.5 cups) and a half a cup of apple cider vinegar to pan. Turn up the heat to medium high for 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently so it doesn’t burn. Add salt to your liking. And mustard on the side.

Dessert

1 cup canned pumpkin warmed - 90

1 tbsp Cocowhip - 18

Pumpkin pie spice (lots!) - 0

Vanilla bean paste - 0

Quarter of a graham cracker - 15
