Thinking of Choosing Higher Education Over an Embedded Job—Anyone Been There?

I've been applying for embedded software jobs for the past few months and spending a lot of time preparing for interviews. During that process, I started learning more about embedded Linux, device driver development, RTOS concepts, and low-level programming. The deeper I got into these topics, the more I realized how much there is to learn and how much I genuinely enjoy understanding the fundamentals rather than just preparing for interviews.

Somewhere along the way, my perspective changed. Instead of rushing into a job, I'm now seriously considering pursuing higher education (likely a master's). I feel that it would give me a stronger foundation, expose me to more advanced topics, provide research opportunities, and hopefully open doors to more specialized roles in embedded systems, systems programming, or related fields.

Has anyone else had a similar change in mindset? If you were in a similar situation, what made you choose higher education over joining the industry immediately? Looking back, do you think it was the right decision? I'd love to hear your experiences, especially from people working in embedded systems or those who pursued a master's before entering the industry.

Looking for a good GATE ECE playlist. Which one would you recommend?

Just starting my GATE ECE preparation and I'm looking for a good playlist to follow from start to finish.

There are so many options on YouTube that I'm a bit confused. If you've already prepared for GATE ECE or cleared it, which playlist or faculty would you recommend and why?

I'm mainly looking for:

- Conceptual clarity

- Coverage of the complete syllabus

- Good problem-solving approach

Any suggestions or personal experiences would be really helpful. Thanks!
