Started preparing for GATE EE in March through ACE Academy alongside my job. So far, I’ve completed Power Electronics, Signals, Network Analysis, DC Machines and Transformers, along with short notes and PYQs. I know I’m still behind on the syllabus, but I’m now seriously considering resigning and preparing full-time.
I’m confident that with dedicated preparation, I can get a good GATE rank. But what scares me is what comes after that.
I keep hearing that M.Tech at top IITs is extremely hectic. Will I actually be able to handle it? Is it really that difficult if you’re willing to put in the work?
At the same time, I sometimes wonder if I should prepare for CAT instead. It seems comparatively easier to me, and the packages after a good MBA are also much better.
For those who have gone through GATE → M.Tech, how did you deal with these doubts? Did you ever feel that maybe you should have chosen CAT/MBA instead?
Hii everyone now I'm going to enter in 3rd year of b.tech EE and wanted to prepare for the gate so please suggest some online coaching that I can go for
and also please suggest me some books and material
I recently joined TCS and always wanted to pursue VLSI domain or go to a PSU through GATE or ESE. I am a 2024 grad and I messed up my last time GATE without proper preparation and all and mostly forgot a lot of stuff even maths also. I am willing to spend my time properly this time because I am fed up with this corporate stuff and want to settle in either a high paying VLSI job or a stable PSU job.
Is it even possible to complete the syllabus and be prepared enough for GATE and ESE and crack them?
And also with the new changes in the syllabus in GATE EC how long will be an ideal time for me to complete the syllabus and how well can I be prepared for these exams?
I procrastinated a lot last time and lost a lot of stuff and this time I don't want to make the same mistake and all hence give me your best suggestions or plans on how to do it.
Will help me a lot :) ❤️
Please help me with clarity so i can plan well.
If anyone has GATE EE PYQ solved books (PDFS) with detailed explanations (ACE/ME/ExamDost), could you please share them? or any other resources for PYQs It would be really helpful.
Hi, this is my 2nd gate attempt and last time I scored 38 marks in gate ee but I almost completely skipped maths and focused on core subjects. Now I am targeting for better score and need to prepare for maths and need help to know which series is good to cover subject. I am trying Ankit Goyal sir's 18 lecture crash course but it's going way above my head and I think i don't have time to finish a 60 lecture series as I only finished networks till now. Any suggestions ? Please.
Just starting my GATE ECE preparation and I'm looking for a good playlist to follow from start to finish.
There are so many options on YouTube that I'm a bit confused. If you've already prepared for GATE ECE or cleared it, which playlist or faculty would you recommend and why?
I'm mainly looking for:
- Conceptual clarity
- Coverage of the complete syllabus
- Good problem-solving approach
Any suggestions or personal experiences would be really helpful. Thanks!
My Observations so far:
I tried solving some GATE CS PYQs, but couldn't understand much because the topics felt very abstract to me.
On the other hand, when I looked at GATE EE PYQs, I could relate them directly to 12th-grade JEE Physics concepts (Circuits, Electromagnetics, etc.) which I genuinely enjoy.
However, I know GATE EE is considered extremely tough with heavy numericals.
My Questions:
Done with edc and digital circuit. Was going to start with signal and systems but the playlist is huge ( 120-130 hours). What should I do considering around 6 months are left and i have to cover other subjects too?
Hey guys! I’m preparing for GATE EE 2027 and wanted to get some advice.
Could you suggest the best resources for:
I’m preparing on my own, I sometimes lose motivation studying alone. If there’s any GATE EE 2027 study group/community I’d really appreciate it if you could add me or share the link.
I've got into Mit bangalore ece branch and wanted to prepare for gate to complete mtech in iits or nits to get into a good job category but now I'm having second thoughts as I rarely get any time after the day due to the rigid curriculum, so what do u guys think that I should prepare for gate or just focus on getting my cgpa up and aim a placement here itself??
