Is this acceptabel quality?

I have had my tin cloth cruiser short jacket, for nearly 2 years and i expected it to be bifl. I use it almost all year around.

Some months ago i noticed these small holes at the end of both arms. I have no idea why it would tear there, and im worried that it will fray over time.

I have other jackets that is'nt nearly as pricey as this filson, which is way older and i have no tears.

Is this acceptabel quality for a filson tin cloth cruiser short jacket?

I wrote to the retailer who asked me to bring the jacket to them, but it is quite far away.
