What is the origin of Rockwell’s arena on Aberration, lore wise?

This is something that’s been a mystery to me for a good long while. Has this location always been on the ark before it malfunctioned, or did the ark somehow built it itself after losing its overseer and was waiting for a new candidate to replace it?

Spinos not spawning in Aberration

I tried to look for a spino to tame on Aberration. Searched the big lake and the rivers in the fertile region, but I couldn’t find any. Not a single one. Can anyone please help me understand why? (Playing on ASA)

The Ice King is never coming back.

This was the last time we saw him and was never once mentioned in game again.

People say Ice King was “absorbed” by the Dark Voyager, but it is possible he died from the process.

And I also don’t see why the current story would need him again.
