TPMS indicator on 2019 Ascent and issues with service center. Please help !

I am super pissed. My 2019 ascent started showing the TPMS indicator for like 2 months. We checked the car tire pressure etc and all came out good.

We had a regular service scheduled and mentioned this to them. They checked tire pressure and sensors and said all looks good and they would need to run a diagnostic test. We did that and they said the sensors need to be replaced. This cost us $1200 whoch includes the $200 for diagnostic test as well.

We take teh car and even before we got home the darn indicator is back. We went back again a second time and gave them te car on another day. This time they didnt take any money bit said its fixed. Again the same behavior after we picked the car.

They asked us to come back again today and now they claim that the TPMS/keyless control module needs replacement and would cost $2000. I am fuming !!!!

I dont want to spend another dime on this but what are my options ? Can I get the original 1k I spent back ?

This is the message they sent :

We have determined that the TPMS/Keyless Control Module is not saving data correctly, which is causing the TPMS warning light to come on and off intermittently.

At this time, we recommend replacing the TPMS/Keyless Control Module as the next step in the diagnostic process. Once the module has been replaced, we can continue diagnosing the system to determine if any additional issues are present. Replacing the module is necessary before we can accurately verify whether there are any further complications. There were also some additional recommended services along withy our inspection

So close to the delivery date and no VIN yet!

Ordered on June 15th. It said 6-7 weeks initially but over the weekend the date changed to end of this month and the status to production.

Will Tesla meet the date or are they just giving me false hope at this point .

I am based in Pacific northwest

Please help evaluate my prep!

Background : over 15 years in tech mainly in qe space as sdet/senior sdet

Last 4 years as software dev in mid size retail/food company. Working on distributed systems that handles 3-4 million transactions per day.

My goals is to break into Faang. I have been studying for almost a year and this is what I have so far.

Neetcode 150 done. Repeating problmes to get better at pattern matching

Structy

Hellointerview - more than half SD problmes done

Working on behavioral and Low level design problmes .

Whats holding me back -

Confidence - i am not sure i can do a brand new dsa problem . I might have the intuition but I fakter at execution.

SD depth- i know concepts. But I dont know things in depth. I have used redis as cache but I dont know how to implement a redis pub sub or lock etc. Similar things with Kafka and other tools. Doing tge problmes on hello intetview ia building my intuition but it seems very surface level. I have read DDIA cover to cover but thats intense and hard to retain

My profile - is have over 15 years experience but only 4 years as sd. I was senior sdet before that. I am aiming for senior sde roles in faang and part of me thinks thats a tall order and maybe I should instead attempt for sde 2 roles. I am in my 40s and I feel I am too old for this .

I have been taking advice from AI but I wanted some human advice too. In the current market should I lower my expectations or just stay put ? How do I build the confidence for my interviews? How much more should I learn ?
