Burn marks in lawn

In Glasgow, Scotland. I have been gardening for this property for a few months. Scarified in spring and have been feeding since. Grass was looking good, but I took two weeks off and when I came back there were odd burnt patches sporadically over the lawn. Anyone have any idea what happened? The back lawn does not have these burn marks, and I've been treating them both the exact same.

Self employed gardener tax deductible advice

Not sure if this is the right place to post this or not! I am a self employed gardener as of January this year, and I'm wondering if any other self employed gardeners claim any of their household bills against their tax, and if so, what %?

Any advice is hugely appreciated and apologies if this isn't the correct place for such chat!
