AI evaluation of CPAP data

As many of you know, there is tons of data recorded on the SD card of your CPAP machine waiting to be harvested and analyzed.

Although I have reviewed that data with the aid of the kind people who developed and maintain the OSCAR website, my eyes just glaze over when I see the daily report. Too much data, too little knowledge on my part.

I heard that AI can help analyze this data so I asked ChatGTP to review my Daily Report as generated by OSCAR yesterday. You just give the AI engine screenshots of the Daily Report (made anonymous to obscure your identity) and it spits out a lengthy review in language that I can understand.

We all know that AI like this can reach wrong conclusions so I take it with a grain of salt. However, it was educational and I will keep evaluating as I prepare for my next annual visit with my sleep doctor. In my experience, sleep docs don’t do a deep dive in this data so it is useful to be able to point out a potential issue if ChatGTP discovers one. At the very least it is harmless.

window ventilation sufficient?

Situation:

Hawaii three-level home with a lowest level “walkout basement” (surrounded by earth three sides, fourth side completely free of earthwork surroundings) with a window wall.

This level has its own central air conditioning unit.

AirThings monitoring of this level over a period of several years has returned Long Term Averages in the range of 4.5-5.5, without any mitigation efforts such as periodic opening of windows.

After recent extraordinary rains saturated soils, radon jumped on 7 day averages above 20.

Opened several windows yesterday. After 24 hours of ventilation (passive, no fans), the one-day average plummeted from over 20 to 0.37.

Question: does this suggest that radon concentrations might (subject to confirmatory testing over time) be manageable simply by incorporating a periodic window opening routine?
