My family and I have lived in Aina Haina for the last few years, but due to our landlord's declining health we need to move out. A friend is offering us a great deal on a 17th story condo near downtown - my wife and I like urban living but haven't done it with kids (we have a 3 and 1 year old). I was wondering if anyone here has done it and has any insight or can share their experience about the good and the bad. Thanks!

Recently moved here and I know that obviously you call older people “auntie” and “uncle,” but I’ve also noticed that lots of people call girls around their age or younger “sis/sister.” Now I’m curious if you should call guys your age or younger “bro/brother”? Or “cousin”? Sorry if this is a stupid question!!

I was born in 98. I remember a song growing up pretty dang young and loved it. I’d put it between 2002-2012. All I remember it was a bit upbeat fast like the music then on the radio, and assuming it’s the chorus cause I feel it was repeated from my memories. It went something like “you can be my shanana shanana shanana giiiiirl” now idk if it’s “you can be” or “will you be” “can you be” or what. Also if it’s shalala. I have never forgotten this song, and have never been able to find it. Someone pleeease! Ik someone’s got it

Some dumbass pigeons with stupid pigeon faces made a nest on my lanai and now at least one idiot pigeon has hatched and now there are annoying pigeon noises and pigeon crap all the time and they need to go. Is there a way to relocate them that won't just result in them getting eaten by the feral cats?

I looked online for animal control stuff and it looks like nobody will really do anything for them because they're invasive. I would feel kinda bad for the morons to get eaten, but also I can't let their shit drip down onto the neighbors.

A couple days ago the water heater in my apartment building completely broke, leaving all of us without hot water and a running shower. Our landlord/property management stated that they are unable to find a replacement on island and have to order from the mainland and wait for it to get shipped. I am curious about the laws regarding how long we can go without hot water and a shower. Super humbug filling an ice cold bucket every morning LOL

How would you rate the pain out of 10 for a sting from a large centipede? I almost got stung by a 5 inch one while sleeping. I've heard some say it's the worst bite from a bug. Never been bitten though but I dread it
