The tragic case of Sarthak Mattoo | Is India getting worse by the day ?

On 25 June around 6:30 in the morning Sarthak Mattoo was hit by a Black Thar with Karnataka number plate while he was riding on his bike to work and was wearing a helmet. The accused left him to bleed on the road and drove away, the impact was so heavy that he died from spinal injuries and was brought dead to ISIC Vasant Kunj. He might have been saved if the accused took him to the hospital.

Now the strange part of the incident is that according to Sarthak's dad police waited for 50 hours to collect the samples of the accused to find the traces of alcohol. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the samples will find nothing.

According to some reports Sarthak was studying in the US and had recently returned. Now why would any educated person return to India and contribute to the economy if any day he can be crashed by a black Thar on a Gurgaon Road. And what is the matter with Black Thar's, for god sake there is a whole sub-reddit dedicated to the incidents related to Thar.

It breaks heart watching his father wailing and asking justice for his son. Given how its going these days I doubt if they would get any.

Thar kills biker on Delhi's Rajokri Expressway after allegedly changing lanes dangerously; driver still absconding.

Sarthak Mattoo, a 34-year-old motorcyclist, died on the morning of June 25 after a Mahindra Thar allegedly made a dangerous lane change on the Rajokri Expressway in Delhi, causing him to crash into the side of the vehicle. Police confirmed that he was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

The Thar driver is still absconding, and a search is underway. Sarthak's devastated family, who say they were preparing for his upcoming birthday, are now demanding justice for his death.

The incident has reignited concerns over reckless driving by SUV owners on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway, where sudden lane changes without warning have been linked to multiple fatal accidents.

Accident in Gurgaon: Biker at fault demanding 20k cash instead of Third-Party Insurance. Need advice on FIR and CCTV

Hi, I’m posting this on behalf of my husband u/South_Transition_649

I met with an accident in Gurgaon yesterday near the MCD Toll–Ambience Mall stretch. A motorcyclist abruptly cut across lanes and collided with my car’s left front wheel, causing him to fall. I stopped and assisted him while wife and kid waited in the car.

The biker appeared injured but conscious and was moved to safety. Multiple bystanders and other drivers stated that he had been riding rashly. They told the same to traffic police when they arrived at the scene, that I was not at fault.

Traffic police spoke with me while we waited for an ambulance. I remained there, assisted the injured rider until he was taken to the hospital, and exchanged contact details with his relative. The police were supportive and advised me to contact them if any issues arose later.

Later that day, the rider’s relative contacted me and demanded ₹28,000 towards medical expenses. Although I do not believe I was at fault, I offered ₹8,000 as a goodwill gesture to avoid further disputes. They refused and are demanding at least ₹20,000. They have shared hospital bills and records for treatment received shortly after the accident.

I am ready to go down the third party claim process but it doesn't look like the guy's family doesn’t want delay.

btw, I have a dashcam but saw that my mmc was corrupted and i never realized. *but bystanders then, and the cops still stand by the fact that it wasnt my fault*

I need help here. what should I do now?

- what is the procedure of third party claim process?

- should i let him file FIR?

- i feel cctv may help me. will cops agree to pull up cctv cams to prove that it wasnt my fault?

- also, i saw the bill. just for fractures the bill seems very high, and even has entries like blood infusion, icu, but etc. isnt that fishy?

Please guide.
