It's not about the sex.

I've been on a few threads about perimenopause to try and understand what both my wife and I are going through and it's always the same comments from women when men ask questions. They just think men are complaining about lack of sex. I don't think it's the sex that men are missing it's the intimacy that sex provides. Men struggle to express emotions and feelings so sex with your partner is the only time you can be emotionally and physically close to them.

I know it's the woman who is physically going through the menopause but it needs to be understood that a husband/boyfriend etc is also going through their change as well and they are also justified in their feelings.
