Looking for fresh real-world project ideas to build for experience — what problems do you actually wish someone solved?

Hey everyone,

I'm 20, backend dev (Java Spring Boot), and I'm at that stage where I want to stop doing tutorial projects and build something real.

I've been browsing Reddit for a few days trying to spot genuine day-to-day problems people face — the kind where someone goes "ugh I wish there was a tool for this."

Not looking for the next big startup idea. Just something that solves a real annoyance, teaches me proper backend architecture, and is actually useful to someone.

What problems do YOU run into regularly that you've never found a good solution for? Drop anything — even rough half-ideas. I'll take it from here.

I'm a beginner and I am trying to learn n8n. Now I'm having a problem in my workflow. So in the workflow, there is a certain loop which uses a database. When the loop starts it has a certain number of items to loop over but it's not working. It just loops over one time and then skips so what I have to do now. I am having a set of skills and using the loop to loop over those skills and store them in the database. If it is already asked it will just skip over it. If it is new it will just store it in the database. I tried but it's very frustrating so I need help.

Hey, I am going to graduate soon and still didn't get a full time job. I started learning backend (Java Spring Boot). At first it was nice because I followed the tutorials. It's like someone giving directions. Now I have good theoretical knowledge, but not practical one. Especially at this time, I think just knowing tutorials won't be enough. That's why I started taking steps by doing small projects with the idea of solving a problem that I am having. The idea is to help freshers like me searching for jobs in various platforms by using AI to suggest jobs with their information. I know it's kinda lame, but I started.

Side by side, I also try to use Claude Code and I plan on every step before doing it, and also review the code, learning from that. But somehow I am having this thought that I am not doing it correctly or not.

So I need some advice or insights from you guys. If anyone has some time, please guide me like a mentor (I am a quick learner. I need directions and I will pick it up easily).
