Screen turns grey every minute and no taskbar

Boot up my pc, I think this is the first time turning it on after updating and shut down last night. grey screen and no taskbar, I searched up my problem and I also got help from Claude (idk if that’s a stupid thing to do)

Claude told me to restart windows explorer. Nothjng

Then it told me to run sfc /scannow. Said corrupted files repaired but nothing changed.

Next it told me to open regedit, made screen show only a dimmed desktop background for 10 or so seconds then 1st image popped up.

Then it told me to run chkdsk C: /f /r. Took about 50 minutes but I still get same issue

Then it told me to boot in recovery and do Quick machine recovery and that showed second image. (Black screen)

Finally, I’m just going to copy and paste what Claude said because I don’t fully trust it:

Couldn’t repair automatically. Press Enter to go back to the recovery menu.
Next step is a repair install via Command Prompt — this fixes Windows without deleting your files.
• From Advanced Options, click Command Prompt
• Type: reg load HKLM\temp E:\Windows\System32\config\SOFTWARE
• Then: reg query HKLM\temp\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion
This will confirm your Windows drive is on E: (the log file suggests it is). Then we can fix the Shell value directly from here without needing regedit to open normally.

What should I do?
