Saw a video of myself today
Hi there.
I‘m nearly six months post op. Op was 22nd of january 2026.
Lost > 50kg all together. HW: 158kg OW: 133kg CW: 101kg
Today i was playing badminton with my husband and son in front of our tesla which was going crazy because of the movement and recorded us.
I saw the videos after and if I would tell you my flabbers were gasted that would be an understatement.
I don‘t see a difference in the mirror AT ALL!
I can tell it‘s different because none of my clothes fit (actually a pain in the ass xD).
I can also tell by the reactions of people etc.
But seeing myself in that video. Actually chasing after the ball and getting it more often than not was amazing.
I still can remember one year ago being out of breath getting up from a chair.
I‘m so thankful for this operation and this new chance at life. I‘m not even 27 years old and I couldn‘t see myself past 30. Now life is just so much more easier from the get go. Not easy peasy lemon squeezy. Still got depressed episodes etc, but just not hurting and hating to get up because it‘s so exhausting is amazing.
