He abandoned the bride like 50-something times for his assistant dramas.

So anyone else watched any of those dramas where the female lead is abandoned at her wedding somewhere around like 50 different times because her groom's assessment had a minor emergency?

Am I the only one who wonders why she even bothers to try to have a wedding with the same man so many times when he always runs away to "save" his female assistant from her ridiculous little dramas? Like for one: He's clearly set a pattern of privatizing another woman which is a huge red flag. For two: he falls for the other woman’s dramas every time and not once sees them for what they are. Clearly this is not a man you should build a life with so why does it take at the least 50 different times for that to sink in?

Vertical Dramas Tropes Aisian vs Western

What are some vertical drama tropes that exists and/or are popular in Asian VDs that don't translate very well when they appear in Western VDs?

Do you have any favorites and what ones do you hate the most?

Reelshort and Shein

Is Shein funding Reelshort's vertical dramas or something? I swear, every time I watch an original Reelshort VD(the English ones, not Asian) the Shein product placement is ridiculous. Acting like Shein is some luxury brand that billionaire's gush about.

How do I write child characters?

So in one of the novels I'm working on, the divorced couple have a 9 year old daughter that the dad is beginning to bond with. His wife lfe him and moved overseas without telling him she was pregnant. He only learned about hos daughter after his ex moved back, I'm not getting into any more detail because it's part of the plot.

Anyway. I don't have kids and it's been a while since I've consistently interacted with kids so I need some advice on how to convincingly write the 9 year old daughter.

Trix vs the Huntzbergers?

Imagine if Trix didn't die in season 4 and was alive when Rory and Logan started dating, especially after the Huntzberger dinner .

How do you think about dinner between both the Gilmores and Huntzbergers would go with Trix at the table? Whether or not Trix knew about the way the Huntzbergers spoke to/about Rory during that dinner.

Red flags for male leads in VDs

After watching many VDs, I've come up with a list of red flags to watch out for in a male lead if you're a female lead in a VD.

RUN AWAY IF HE HAS:

* A childhood sweetheart that isn't you.

* A female "bro" that likes to cross boundaries

* A Life debt because someone saved his or a close relative's life

* A female secretary that he indulges inappropriately

* A female sponsored student that he is way too indulgently fond of

* A mother who doesn't like you.

* An adopted sister whom he is way too close to.

* A group of friends that mock you.

* A brother/friend died and left behind a window for him to look after

* A brother/friend died and left behind a sister for him to look after.

If he has any of those, don't just walk away, RUN. Because he's never going to prioritize you and your relationship. He's always going to side with the other woman even when her schemes against you are obvious. You will suffer abuse and humiliation for simply existing and knowing him. It won't matter how much you sacrifice and humble yourself. It won't matter what effort you put in to the re, making his life easier, how you support him and his family. And if he mother doesn't like you, she never will.

If I missed anything, feel free to add to the list.

Common lead character names

I've noticed a lot of common names for lead characters in VDs. For example, Bella is a very common name for the female lead.

What are some common names that you've seen in VDs?

I can't be the only one, but I really can't stand the way that people with disabilities are treated in vertical dramas. Is it common to discriminate anyone with a disability over in aisa? Weather it's blindness, hearing impairment, speach impairment, loss of a limb or paralysis, every time I see someone representing a disability in a vertical drama, especially set in Asia, they are treated as less than,and discarded by family or dismissed as someone to mock. While I understand adding drama and tradgiy to a story, most of the time the poor treatment aimed at someone with a disability, while appearing to be accepted by everyone as normal, gets pretty hard to watch.

I keep seeing teasers for this one on Instagram and I know it's copied off of an Asian drama that I've seen teased before. Can anyone help me find the original?

Basically pregnant protagonist has her entire family, her husband especially, force her into early labor for her cord blood because schemy bitch faked an illness that needs it. She and her critical condition baby is abandoned in the operating room to to immediately tend to scheme butch on hubby's orders, baby dies and so on.
