Considering upgrading from an intermediate to professional trombone

I am a senior in high school, and I currently play a Yamaha YSL-548GO, an intermediate large bore F attachment trombone, with a Bach 5G mouthpiece. My comfortable range is from F2-Db5. I recently got into a youth orchestra. I've tried playing a few pro-level trombones and notice very little difference, even when playing excerpts like the Bolero solo, unless I play fortissimo, at which point the sound spreads on my intermediate horn but stays stable on the professional models I've tried.

I intend to play through college, if not beyond it.

Would now be a good time to upgrade to a professional level trombone?

Bought a boutique trombone, noticed this pattern on the bell.

Look closely. This is a Schmelzer Model 1 custom trombone with a "solid nickel" bell.

Highest note I can buzz on different Bach mouthpieces

I've decided to test how high I can buzz on different trombone mouthpieces, without the instrument.

1 1/4G: Db5

5G: D5

11C: E5

6 1/2 AL: E5

12C: F#5

This does seem to translate into my controlled high range as well.

Just an interesting piece of data! Curious about what other people can reach on these, and whether or not its necessary to be able to buzz as high as you want to play on the instrument.
