Career Dilemma: Stay for an Automation Opportunity or Switch?
I have 2 years of experience as a Software Tester, primarily in manual testing. Although I was given an opportunity to learn automation, my work has mostly been limited to executing existing automation scripts rather than developing or maintaining them. As a result, I haven't gained the hands-on automation experience I was expecting. I am currently under a 3-year bond and am unsure whether I should wait for a genuine automation testing opportunity within my current company or switch to another organization that offers real-world automation experience and better career growth. My long-term goal is to become a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in automation tools and frameworks. Based on my situation, would it be better to stay until my bond ends or start planning a switch to accelerate my automation career?
