Men's rights activists seem to be contemptuous of their male following a lot of the time.

Men's rights activists seem to be contemptuous of their male following a lot of the time.

So this largely useless MRA TheTinMen blocked me today because I criticized his constant grovelling to women and feminists. He is the type of MRA who loves talking to other women about the plights of men. But is quite contemptuous of the men he claims to advocate for. He always makes sure to say "that both misogyny and misandry are bad". And that "plenty of women want to see men thrive". Which honestly isn't a thing. If women didn't collectively dislike men we wouldn't be in the predicament to begin with. So i am just sick of MRAs trying to ingratiate themselves with women. It's the same shit when Intactivists always interview "regret moms" about how they feel about mutilating their babies. Well, I dont really care how you feel about that. I wanna hear from the victims. I have NEVER seen a civil rights movement platform another demographic (that causes the problems of the discriminated demographic no less) more than platforming the group of people they supposedly advocate for, BESIDES the Men's rights movement. That's how bad the situation is for men. And forget about criticizing women and their attitudes to men. If we don't redirect blame to some third party like feminism or just "society" then we are misogynists. So I'm using what happened today as an example of this phenomenon in the Men's rights movement.

Second Lawsuit against the Selective Service was denied yesterday.

So quick update on the issue on Selective service registration litigation in the USA. There was a second lawsuit headed to the US Supreme Court. This was by a man who hadn't registered for the draft. Yet, the Supreme Court rejected his petition also. So it seems that the Court doesn't want to touch this issue. And that is after it's clear that Congress won't change the law either.

The Supreme Court officially rejected NCFM's petition to review the Selective service law.

So apparently the SCOTUS just doesn't give a fuck when discrimination is happening to men. It swiftly rejected the petition without any dissent from any Justices, or any warning statements like in 2021. Which only makes me wonder why justice Sotomayor wrote that statement in 2021 giving the NCFM false hope. I'm super disappointed with this.

WIll this future European federation implement gender-based laws for conscription?

There is a very disgusting tendency in EU countries that claim to be very progressive (like Finland) but then employ male only conscription. And of course now The EU is trying to ban male Ukrainian refugees from entering the Union. So I'm just wondering, is the future European federation also gonna implement such disgusting laws or is it actually gonna be for equality?

Richard Reeves supports a male-only draft which makes him anti-male by definition

I was right from the beginning about him. He always came off puting women's needs first and only caring about men because they are no longer performing "well" for women. Well this interview proved me right. When the host asked him if he supported a military draft for men and he said yes. If you support male-only conscription you are anti-male. Simple as that.

It's one of my favourite things about this sub, reading how mind-blown first watchers are. I remember my first time in 2022. I had been watching youtube videos about Space and Physics and I saw something about this movie Interstellar in my YT feed. Then I decided to watch the movie. When i first watched it, i was so blown away, but i couldnt quite put it into words. It was late in the evening so i just went to bed, all the while thinking about it, knowing I had seen something incredible. The very next day i watched it again and I let its greatness hit me with its full force. And don't worry I did see it three times on IMAX since (which was a mind-bending experience) so I didnt commit blasphemy by only seeing it on my computer. So this is a comment I wrote in response to someone telling their story watching it for the first time.
------
I love reading posts of people who have watched for the first time. Yes the movie is
unbelievable. It has this almost religious feeling to it, but a bit different obviously. It forces you to contemplate your own place in this unimaginably big unvierse. The nature of human kind. Of your own humanity. The emotional aspect of leaving your family to go to a different planet and whole different neighbourhood of the Universe is heart-breaking. When Cooper learned that he had left his family on the dying Earth without a real chance of rescuing them I felt his heart sinking. The organ crescendo when he enters the hospital room where Murph is. I makes me fall apart every time i watch it. The soundtrack is in a league of its own, and i think it is the thing that catapults the whole film into orbit and makes it untouchable. One thing i liked about this film that might sound as weird is that they didnt have sterotypically corny lines and everything looked so.... sterile for lack of a better word. It just felt so.... unsettling but in a very vague way. The way you could feel the coldness of space when they docket the Endurance and you could see Earth in the back. All of this comes together to create the "vibe" of this movie and it is unlike everything I have experienced when watching a film. This is what I like about it, its not just a film, its a state of mind and feeling. I can just play certain scenes in my mind and get goosebumps or get teary-eyed. What about the first time Prof. Brand recites the poem when they take off, with that organ crescendo at the end of it. You just know this film will be one hell of ride. I can go on and on about this film.
