I remember when Peller gave that girl 1 million and she didn’t react as he thought she would. Kinda makes me wonder if our idea of appreciation is so embedded in us showing it so so physically, till it makes the giver feel appreciated. When I watched the video that’s where my mind kinda went too. We are so used to the huge “Emotional payoff” as Nigerian, after doing something huge for someone, not knowing that not everyone is as socially not awkward (didn’t know the word to use) as the rest of us.
