Just watched all the prequels, and have to say after near a decade without watching them I was pleasantly surprised with how everything held up including CGI, story, pacing, and even the politic aspect. One thing I’ve seen people criticize that I can kind of agree with is the dialogue of Anakin in 2 and 3 but especially 2. I don’t think it’s the actor, especially after seeing interviews of Mark Hamill describing what it was like working with George Lucas and how he writes dialogue. There were moments where I just cringed and almost wanted to skip like watching Skylar from breaking bad sing happy birthday. But then I start thinking and this is literally a teenager with barely any interaction with women in his entire life, and unfortunately it makes sense. I start thinking about my first talked stages and it really isn’t too far off😭. Especially since some of the conversations are permanently on social media I’ve gone back and looked at a few and I might have delivered even worse lines even more awkwardly😂 and equally as cringy. I think the dialogue is still hard to get through at times even with that in mind, but it certainly helps me push through. Wanted to see how everyone else feels about it and if maybe my perspective on it is a new one that makes you think differently about it, or if it doesn’t change your opinion on it at all.
