I have Hugo insurance for a few years now. Recently my insurance lapsed. I went some really hard times for abt two months and was unable to keep up with anything. My policy cancelled two months ago. I got a letter from the DMV threatening to ruin my life if I don’t get my insurance back. I do owe Hugo a balance. I recently tried to get coverage turned back on with them but they are saying they can’t insure me. I haven’t is the balance that I owe them yet but only bc they are saying they can’t give me coverage. My money is short so I don’t want to pay them back if they won’t write and let me pay for a new policy afterwards. I reached to their customer service but haven’t got a response back yet. Has anyone else been in this situation with Hugo? Did the insure you after you paid them the balance you owed?
