Need Transmission Help

Got in my car yesterday , put it in reverse and now it’s stuck in reverse but the stick moves , looked it up on the internet and there’s a recall ? I get my car towed to the nearest dealership , they call me the next day “a solution to the problem isn’t available yet” “if u want the old solution for now you’ll have to pay $861” … is there any way to fix this problem without having to pay so much money ?

2013 2.0L slow acceleration

I just started driving this car after my parents gifted it to me and I have realized how incredibly slow it can be. The throttle lag is crazy, poor low rpm performance, and just overall disappointing acceleration. I do understand that this car weighs as much as a small SUV. But is there anything I can do that doesn’t require a remodeling of the engine. From prior research the 2 liter is basically unmodable because the setup can’t take anymore horsepower than it already produces. But is there anything I can do?

1.4L, 2.0L, and 2.4L Engines use Multi-Port Fuel Injection (PFI) and not Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI)

I feel like I'm getting hit with the Mandela Effect.

For years I researched, confirmed, and thought the engine used direction injection which is why I was so cautious with catching oil vapors and valve cleaning. I even spread that word around to warn others.

I'm doing some research on something else last night and these engines are apparently port injected??? This has always been the case.

I have no idea why I thought they were GDI and I cannot find anything on the web that suggests that I may have read some incorrect information.

Apologies to anyone I may have mislead on the subject; I really thought that was the truth. My bad ya'll...

ETA: As a positive, even MORE reason to use Top Tier Gas (Shell, Exxon, etc. Use the app/list) to put good detergents to work washing the back of those valves.

need some info!

what's up guys and gals...I'm Aaron...I have a completely stick 2015 dart Aero......so my Dart ran fine the first year I had it no issues at all ,well about 6 months ago it started making a clicking noise in the transmission, still shifted smooth and fine, just made the noise, till after about 3 weeks if driving like that,I'm driving one day ,push the peddle in,I hear what sounded like something falling off,the car stalled hasn't started since..my mechanic said its probably something in the clutch and we should just replace the clutch and everything while we're in there....my familiarity with cars says...he's making sense...but where he's not making sense is he's saying something about the dual mass flywheel blew up or something like that ..but that the only way he'll do the job is if I convert to a single mass flywheel.....that's just not sitting right with me... I know it's a popular "upgrade",but I also know it sounds horrible and puts unnecessary stress and vibration in other parts of the car....so what's the deal... who did it to their car and what's the driving experience?

Electrical Issues (2013 Dodge Dart Aero 1.4T)

Hey everyone, I’m having a bunch of electrical issues that seem related and I’m trying to figure out where to start. My Dart has been acting up across multiple unrelated systems:

Power mirrors have never worked since I owned the car (checked fuses)

Driver master window switch is inconsistent (sometimes doesn’t respond)

Door unlock button on the driver door often won’t work unless the car is turned on

Back-up camera almost never works most of the time, sometimes it will randomly work but not for long.

Occasionally weird electrical behavior after the car sits for a while

Codes / related symptoms:

I have a C2129-13 code (battery voltage / EPS circuit open)

Battery voltage on startup drops to around ~11V

Charging voltage when running is about ~14.2V

I’ve also had ABS / low voltage type codes in the past

It feels like multiple modules are getting unstable or losing communication, especially after the car sits. Once it’s running, most things behave better, but not always.

I’ve already checked obvious fuses and did basic visual inspections, but I haven’t dug into wiring harness grounds or BCM connections yet.

How long does check engine light take to turn off after ESIM replacement?

Greetings.

Yesterday I replaced the Esim on my Dodge Dart 2013 due to code p0456 (small evap leak)
Unfortunately the light is still on.

How long does it usually take for the light to clear out?

P.S I've also replaced the purge valve, but the light came back on after a week of resetting the OBD.

Im so done with this car 🥀

(2013 dodge dart 1.4) Never touching dodge ever again. Took care of this car and this is what i get, it has 80k mileage it was a decent car for about a year. Last few weeks ago I had service transmission message came up I took it to a transmission shop they dont know whats wrong with the car they recommend a dealer 🥀 the thing is im living paycheck to paycheck and I cannot afford a fix tbh I dont know what to do with the car anymore im hoping its a faulty message caused by tcm. The car has a history of transmission replacement so I dont know if the transmission went bad or anything. Is it possible the message is caused by weak tcm? Im sorry my writing is all over the place.

Dodge dart 2015 SE oil on the spark plugs

My dodge dart 2015 SE 2.0 L is my first car ever. I got her from my cousin and named her “Bluey” cause she’s blue lol. I kinda knew what I was getting into when I first got her. She was already having problems with the tire pressure and had over 170k miles.

Now after almost a year of having her, I think she might be dying on me. She has 219,000 miles, replaced the camshaft sensor and now after trying to figure out why she has her engine light on for now a month, has oil with her spark plugs.

I already knew the risks of getting an older car and it was honestly a great first car, but I’m torn on what I should do. Should I fix whatever issue there is with the car and keep rolling on? Or should I sell it fast and get a Toyota? 😔

Any advice or stories you have with your own dodge dart will be appreciated!

First part of my dart

Just got these lights in planning to do some maintenance to the dart before I add some more cosmetic mods (planning on some black rims, black grille crosshair, possibly tinted windows and a small spoiler) any recommendations?

2013 dodge dart, 160k miles, automatic. Sensors are going crazy

As you can see in the video, the first half its acting weird and in the second half its normal. all the sensors will turn on and off randomly. When it’s going crazy, I can’t use the blinkers and the windshield wipers are on at all times. Sometimes it will be hours before any issues, sometimes it will give me issues constantly. What could be the issue? I just replaced the starter fyi.

P0480 Engine Cooling Fan Failure

I have a 2014 Dart 2.4L SXT

I live in Phoenix AZ so of course I would have fan issues when daily average is 110F 🥵

For a while before it got real hot my A/C would blow hot then cold then hot then cold. No engine light or error codes. When I would check, the fan would be running as usual. I initially thought it was needing to be recharged or something.

Of course when it started getting real hot out, when I would be driving with the A/C on, the fan was intermittently not running, the engine light would come on and a p0480 error code would be present. This was intermittent up until a few days ago.

I was driving with the A/C off, it was probably 111F outside. My engine light came on and the dash started flashing and chiming that engine was overheating. It was probably over 3/4 of the way. I pulled over immediately and shut it off so it could cool down.

While it was cooling down, and I was sweating my balls off under the desert sun and under the hood of the car with the engine roasting me from both sides, I used the good ole mx+ pro or whatever wireless dongle and alfaobd to cycle the fan. I just heard the relay rapidly clicking, the fan wasn't kicking on.

I swapped the relay with a known good one and same thing. So the relay was good. I checked the 5amp fuse, it was good. I checked the 60a midi fuse on the positive terminal, it was good.

I checked the adapter that goes into the fan module and it appears to be good. Has continuity and is receiving 12v. I then tried checking the other side of the module and I believe the positive/power had continuity but the ground didn't. Although I am unsure if the fan has to be engaged for the ground to have continuity? Like with it not engaged the circle is closed right? So the circuit wouldnt be complete as it is off?

I am assuming it is the module since I connected the power/ground directly to the fan motor and it roared into action so the fan/motor itself seems to be good still.

Am I screwed if I cant find a working module at the junkyard with having to buy a whole dang fan assembly with module? I cant seem to find just the module by itself. Any suggestions on any tests I can do or known issues/fixes without replacing it?

I don't have the money to buy a new assembly right now. I just replaced the whole assembly like maybe a year or two ago.

What do ya'll think about bypassing the module altogether? I could run it directly to the battery with a switch (and inline fuse) straight into the cabin so I could turn it on/off with a switch (could leave it on when running the A/C and/or when temps hit 230F). Do you think this would be best as a temp fix? Or would I be able to bypass the module power/ground and bridge these together on both sides of the module leaving just the other wires going into the module? Would this cause it to always be on? My theory is it would fubction normally as it would only receive power when it is supposed to be on (when AC running or it hits 230F), or am I completely wrong here?

Thanks for any insights!

Bluetooth/phone problem

Wondering if any dart owners have experienced this? I have a 2013 dart ralley.
My Bluetooth and phone are both completely unresponsive. Navigation still works. I thought it just needed an update, but turns out you can no longer go on the website that allows you to type in your vin number and upload any updates to a usb. Trying to avoid the dealership if possible
