Any Health Sci Resources?

Hey everyone!

I’m heading into first-year Health Sci at Western this fall I wanted to reach out and see if there are any shared drives, note banks, Discord servers, or group chats that students typically use.

Are there any Google Drives floating around with study materials and past notes, and if so does anyone knows where to find them. I’m mostly just hoping to get a feel for what the first-year workload looks like and have a few good resources bookmarked for September.

Thanks a ton, and I hope you're all having an awesome summer! :)

Mac Life Sci or Western Health Sci

I want to do med

Mac Life Sci: Although they may be a bit more challenging Heard it is more objective with its courses hence it's easier to score a perfect grade, I know lots people going here as well, and have more general knowledge of the school. Also heard that the school is very pre med oriented and has lots of opportunities and research positions for students who want med.

Western Health Sci: Received 8k/year scholarship (Scholarship of Excellence) I've heard that the marking is very subjective and it may affect chances of scoring a perfect GPA, I also don't know anybody going here. Less pre med oriented as well

Anybody Regretting their Decisions?

I feel as if I made a mistake. I applied to a bunch of science programs to go down the “pre-med” route and try my chances at med school. Now, as the school year ends and reality sets in, I’m starting to think more about my future, in which I feel as if I would rather make money right out of undergrad and start progressing through the corporate ladder earlier rather than doing all those years of schooling.

On top of that, I don’t really have the most fun studying the sciences all the time. Although my average is in the very high 90s range, I tolerate daily studying because it is a routine I have adapted to. However I am coming to discover one of my bigger passions which is Programming and Software Development, I’ve began freelancing and picking up a few gigs and have been making solid money off of it and i feel so free when I do so as if I am truly both having fun and earning money at the same time which makes me think i should’ve explored something in that field as my uni program instead.
