Making Multiple Layer Faces

Making Multiple Layer Faces

Hello, I'm doing a new family for a beam steel structure, and I'm facing with a problem (more like a dilema). Since this is going to be used for data collection on the materials used in the project, I'm struggling to know the best way to do this and how to do this.

This is a steel coated beam with antirust layer and enamel paint. So, what I am doing is creating thin layers and adding the antirust and the paint properties in each layer (Just like an onion).

But I'm asking now: Is there a way to do this in the solid itself, without crating thin layers (solid)? Because when the budget team looks at the materials table, It needs the correct amount used (m² and linear/m) for each thing.
